Program Coordinator for Inclusion & Leadership Development
The Program Coordinator for Inclusion & Leadership Development (Coordinator) oversees all student-facing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives as well as all leadership programs for students. The primary focus of the role is to develop, execute, and integrate strategies and ongoing initiatives that promote an affirming culture of intentional inclusivity on campus -specifically, the development of initiatives that seek to facilitate the personal and academic success of marginalized student groups through the development of programmatic initiatives, mentorship opportunities, and individual advisement. The role is also responsible for fostering activism within our student body and for promoting a culture of socially engaged and civically minded students. Duties also include assisting the Assistant Dean with creating engagement opportunities for students through a series of signature events, the coordination of climate surveys, and program assessment, as well as serving as the lead advisor to student organizations focused on inclusion and equity education on top of providing operational support to all student organizations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
Provide direction for equity and inclusion initiatives that support the college's mission and the Division of Student Affairs' learning outcomes;
Under the guidance of the Assistant Dean, will plan, implement, and evaluate programs and initiatives that promote an affirming culture of intentional inclusiveness on campus and that support marginalized students groups; foster activism within our student body and promote a culture of socially engaged and civically minded students;
Apply identity development to all programs, trainings, and retreats;
Serve on the CARE Team as a CARE Responder; provide individual support, including referrals, to students in their social, leadership, and identity development;
With the Assistant Dean and AVP, provide advocacy and support for students related to bias incidents;
Plan heritage months by developing monthly programming and coordinating a campus calendar for each Cultural Heritage month.
Pursue and maintain a national LGBTQ+ ranking status as an affirming, inclusive campus;
Serve on the institution's Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Commission;
Serve as primary advisor to all current CCAD student organizations that align with DE&I initiatives;
Facilitate inter-organization communication and collaboration; Initiate and plan community building programs and meetings for various student organizations;
At the direction of the Assistant Dean, develop and implement policies and processes that support the development and maintenance of student clubs and organizations; assist student leaders of all student organizations with executing completing an events request with the Events Office and oversee requests related to , programs, speakers, and educational opportunities related to the missions of their organizations; provide support for organizations with budgets, contracts, and evening/ weekend event coverage and advisement as needed;
Assist with the planning and implementation of Student Affairs' signature events;
Assist in assessing the student experience as it relates to student engagement and leadership opportunities in clubs/organizations;
Supports the college's retention efforts through individual interventions with students;
Serve on the CHROMA committee, a committee of faculty, staff and students.
Chroma: Best of CCAD
is our annual exhibition of outstanding student work, selected and curated by faculty.
Serve as student portal administrator you are the central manager of the digital platform students use to access academic resources, administrative services, and college communications. Your role ensures the portal is functional, secure, and user-friendly, supporting the academic and administrative needs of the student body.
Serve on cross-functional work teams and committees as directed;
This position is a key role in student services administration. The individual is expected to maintain a spirit of professionalism, diplomacy, and tact. This position requires the need to be available to work evenings and/or weekends.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree required, Master's Degree preferred, in student affairs, higher education or a related field
1-3 years of related experience, which may include graduate level positions. Experience in successfully implementing diversity education and multicultural student support strategies on a college campus preferred.
Experience in advising student organizations, student programming boards, student government and/or supervising student leaders preferred.

SUMMARY
This Safety & Security Officer is designated as an essential staff. Essential staff are required to report for work as their function is necessary to maintain and protect the health, safety, and physical well-being of the campus community. They must keep the lots, grounds and buildings secure by patrolling the campus and providing appropriate responses as needed to maintain a secure environment.

THE POSITION'S ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
The Director of Human Resources & People Engagement serves as the head of CIA's HR function, leading day-to-day and strategic HR operations, and partnering with senior leadership to support employees across Cleveland Institute of Art. Reporting to the VP of Business Affairs, the Director is responsible for talent acquisition, total compensation administration, HR compliance, policy development, employee relations, and people-centered culture and belonging initiatives in alignment with CIA's mission and values.

Strategic HR Leadership & People Operations
• Lead day-to-day HR operations and provide strategic partnership to the President's Cabinet and leadership team on people-related matters.

• Support the development and maintenance of a total compensation program tied to job descriptions, performance, and market data.

Employee Relations, Policy & Compliance
• Serve as primary point of contact for employee relations matters, providing coaching and guidance to supervisors and employees on performance management, conflict resolution, recognition, and retention.
• Coordinate with legal counsel as appropriate to address complex employee relations issues and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook and support alignment with the Faculty Bylaws, benchmarking against peer institutions and consulting with legal counsel as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws (including FLSA, FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, Title VII, and related regulations) and monitor changes in legislation impacting HR practices.
Culture, Inclusion, & Employee Engagement
• Serve as the staff leader for the IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access) Council, coordinating agendas, supporting Council initiatives, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and regulatory considerations, and collaborating on key IDEA initiatives such as MOSAIC (Multicultural Orientation for Students In Art/Design College).
• Coordinate employee engagement surveys in partnership with leadership, including vendor selection (if applicable), survey design input, communication, analysis of results, and support for follow-up action planning.
• Lead or coordinate people-centered culture initiatives such as employee appreciation events, recognition activities, and selected training (e.g., inclusive workplace practices, supervisory skills, harassment prevention), in partnership with appropriate departments.
• Support institutional efforts to foster a positive, equitable, and engaging work environment in which employees feel respected, valued, and included.
Cross-Campus Collaboration
Collaborate with the Office of Academic Affairs on HR-related processes affecting faculty, including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, grievance and problem resolution, and other procedures in alignment with the Faculty Bylaws.
• Partner with Cabinet-level leaders and department heads to promote strong team dynamics, effective communication, and operational alignment across administrative and academic units.
• Partner with Cabinet in holistic, operational and strategic workforce planning, analyzing CIA's current workforce, understanding needs to accomplish strategic goals and address talent gaps in the short and long term.
• Collaborate with the CIO and Cabinet in advising on AI integration into CIA's labor strategy, and in implementing responsible AI solutions across workflows to maximize productivity and minimize burnout.
• Provide HR data and insights (e.g., turnover, recruitment metrics, engagement findings) to inform leadership decision-making and strategic planning.
Administration & External Partnerships
• Manage the HR department budget and monitor expenditures to ensure responsible stewardship of resources.
• Coordinate with external partners (legal counsel, benefits brokers, retirement plan administrators, consultants, etc.) to support HR functions and projects.
• Represent HR and, as needed, CIA in external meetings, networks, and professional development settings. DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE
The successful candidate will be an accomplished HR generalist with broad functional capability, the ability to lead a small team, and a track record of partnering effectively with senior leadership. They will bring systems-level thinking, strong communication skills, and the capacity to translate HR strategy into practical processes that support workforce planning, talent development, and a positive employee experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive HR generalist experience, including experience providing direct HR counsel to leaders and supervisors.
• Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements in a higher education or nonprofit context, including FLSA, FMLA, Affordable Care Act, and related regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in employee relations, recruitment, compensation/benefits administration, and policy development.
• Supervisory experience, and ability to successfully manage a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in higher education and/or nonprofit organizations.
• HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
• Experience with HRIS systems (Jenzabar or similar) and comfort with leveraging data and technology to improve HR processes.

Compensation
This is a full-time, exempt position. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Guides and assists student workers in the planning, strategizing, and assessment of OhioLINK processing, statistics, label creation, supply use, and potential issues.
Reference Services
Assists patrons with research needs, remotely (via phone, chat, and e-mail) and in-person.
Conducts in-depth research appointments with patrons.
Stays abreast of reference assignment alerts.
Works on reference projects, such as constructing and editing research guides and tutorials.
Spangler Learning Center Building
Collaborates with Spangler Learning Center building staff to ensure its efficient operation.
Follows pre-determined procedures for opening and/or closing Spangler Learning Center.
Monitors the behavior of patrons utilizing the building to prevent theft and/or destruction of materials and equipment.
Works with ODU Public Safety when there is a safety concern, building issue, emergency, or patrons that need assistance (escorts, lost and found, etc.).

The Admission Counselor is responsible for the management of recruitment activities related to all assigned geographic territories. As a representative of Ohio Dominican University, the Admission Counselor will work to enhance the visibility and growth of the University, both internally and externally. Additionally, as a member of the Admissions team, the successful candidate will play a key role in fostering an already positive, driven and collegial working environment.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Represent the University to prospective students and the general public with the highest degree of professionalism through an array of outreach programs and activities
Initiate and maintain relationships with students, families, and staff at high schools within assigned territory
In coordination with the Director of Admissions, plan and implement recruitment strategies and activities, including travel, relative to assigned geographic territories
Utilizes the Salesforce CRM to manage the student enrollment process monitor the communication plan, progress on goals and objectives
Counsels and advises constituents on a range of admission and enrollment processes
Maintain a high level of communication with all assigned students and families utilizing phone calls, emails, texting, and on campus visits
Participate in on-campus visit programs, new student orientations, campus retention programs, and other admission related activities
Review admission files and possible transfer courses, as appropriate to territory responsibilities
Assist with new student registration activities and summer orientation
Utilize effective communication skills with faculty, staff, and students; as well as, all off campus constituents
Serve on university-wide and departmental committees, as assigned
Participate in approved professional development programs
Support, and contribute to, the mission and vision of Ohio Dominican University
Some evening and weekend hours, as needed
Evaluate and assess processes and procedures on an annual basis, looking for ways to build upon and improve the services offered
Other duties as assigned and required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required. Experience in higher education admissions preferred. The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, writing, fiscal management, relationship building and presentation skills, and must be able to multi-task. The successful candidate will be committed to helping students achieve success. The ability to have a flexible schedule and to travel is also required.
