We are currently seeking a skilled HTST Operator to join our team and contribute to the ongoing success of our facility in Frederick Country, Virginia! About the Role Hours: Monday - Friday 4 am - 12 pm plus possible overtime Pay: $24/hour minimum As a HTST (High-Temperature Short-Time) Operator at our yogurt processing facility, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the HTST pasteurization equipment used in the yogurt production process. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HTST systems, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety standards. Responsibilities Operation of HTST Equipment: Operate and monitor the HTST pasteurization system to ensure proper heating, holding, and cooling of milk according to established protocols and quality standards. Monitoring and Control: Continuously check and adjust system parameters, including temperature, pressure, and flow rates, to maintain optimal conditions for pasteurization. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks on pasteurized product samples to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Document and report any deviations or irregularities. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on HTST equipment. Identify and report major mechanical issues to the maintenance team. Sanitation: Follow strict sanitation procedures to ensure cleanliness of the HTST system and surrounding work areas. Participate in cleaning and sanitizing tasks as needed. Compliance: Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental regulations. Ensure that all processes comply with company policies and industry standards. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of operational parameters, maintenance activities, and quality control tests. Prepare reports as required. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or vocational training is a plus. Minimum 1-year experience operating HTST pasteurization systems or similar industrial equipment in a food or dairy manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
