Comcast's Technology & Product organization designs , develops and supports innovative products and services that bring broadband, wireless, video and voice experiences to residential and business customers throughout the world, with more than 57 million customer relationships across the U.S. and Europe.
The team also works to ensure the performance of our network in the U.S., including speeds and capacity that customers rely on to stay connected to what matters most, and builds and operations mission-critical systems, including those that monitor our network and its associated cloud infrastructure.
The CyberSecurity Incident and Availability Reliability Engineering (CSRE - IDEAL) team serves as the centralized operations function for Comcast's cybersecurity infrastructure, driving operational maturity, resilience, and scalability across both cloud and physical environments. The team leads core reliability engineering initiatives across change, incident, and problem management domains. This includes fostering cross-functional alignment of processes across the organization, and driving measurable improvements in Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Mitigate (MTTM). The team leads the development of a centralized problem management framework, resolves challenges with dual-platform tracking (IOP & JIRA) and dashboard enhancements, enabling greater efficiency and visibility across Security Reliability Engineering operations. It also ensures operational readiness through robust change controls, standardized procedures, and escalation protocols .
The CSRE-IDEAL team supports infrastructure modernization across platforms such as F5, Gigamon, Aruba, Fortinet, and Palo Alto, while driving automation to streamline operations and improve response times. Responsibilities span tool onboarding of inventory management, centralized logging, alert monitoring, performance tuning, patching, OS upgrades, and backup/recovery. Emphasis is placed on major project delivery, process standardization, proactive maintenance, and compliance. As CSRE evolves into a centralized authority, the team is shaping a forward-looking vision for 2026+, focused on intelligent automation, AI integration, and governance. Key strategic questions-such as what it means to be “onboarded” into CSRE and what the program is striving to become-are guiding decisions around tooling and innovation, with a goal to deliver measurable improvements in security reliability and operational efficiency across Comcast.
Role Description

This role offers hands-on experience in reliability engineering, automation, and process standardization, with exposure to industry-leading tools such as F5, Gigamon, Aruba, Fortinet, and Palo Alto.

In your role, you will bridge the gap between development and operations. Trace defects through a cutting-edge service-oriented architecture to find root cause. Develop scripts and utilities to automate data collection from hundreds or thousands of nodes.
How to standardize onboarding across diverse platforms with varying telemetry and alerting capabilities.
Designing automation workflows to reduce manual effort in patching and configuration compliance.
Identifying and resolving gaps in platform visibility and performance monitoring.

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provides research and assistance to leadership in the development and design of new projects.
Process standardization, proactive maintenance, and compliance, focused on intelligent automation, AI integration, and governance.
Assist in onboarding new platforms into CSRE operations, including inventory validation, configuration tracking, and integration with monitoring tools.
Support the development and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for alerting, patching, logging, and backup/recovery.
Participate in the setup and tuning of centralized dashboards (e.g., Zabbix, Cardinal) to improve visibility and performance tracking.
Collaborate with engineers to document platform telemetry and operational health metrics.
Help identify gaps in automation and contribute to scripting or workflow improvements using tools like Jira, IOP, and internal APIs.

Team Overview and Job responsibilities
The Digital Solutions sales team in North America consists of approximately 10 sales managers + several external sales rep agents. This team is responsible for achieving sales and profits across all markets in North America, except enterprise, for fiber cable and outside copper cable.
This role will transform over the first few years of implementation. The role will begin as a business development/relationship building role and is expected to later transition into a regional sales director role within several years. The beginning objective of the role is to develop close business relationships with hyperscale companies and their partners who build outside plant fiber networks to connect their assets. Companies include: Amazon Web Services, Google, Meta, Oracle, Microsoft, Equinix, Zayo, Lumen and others.
What does “building relationships” with these customers really mean? What is expected?
Determine their org structure, who are the decision makers for fiber cable (HQ and regional)
Build awareness of the Prysmian brand with those decision makers.
Determine the projects that involve fiber cable, both short and long term (their funnel)
Educate the customer on Prysmian products, specs, value, strength. Ensure new products are launched and shared effectively.
Ensure the customer's voice and needs are making it to our Product Roadmap
Gather intelligence about competitors ( strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats)
Determine other OSP vendors the customer likes to work with (duct, splicing, installations, etc) and develop effective relationship there also.
The phase 2 aspect of this role involves moving into a regional sales director role, overseeing both key accounts and territory management. The accounts and territory would be determined at a future date.
Objectives:
Advance Prysmian's position and brand awareness in the hyperscale/long haul/middle mile segment. Enable the sales team to achieve improved sales results in the hyperscale/long haul/middle mile segment. Be the voice of the customer to help Prysmian stay on the leading edge of products needed in this segment. Expand the number of customers that Prysmian interfaces with in this segment. Train and educate our sales team how to effectively work with customers in this segment. Help develop sales and marketing materials for this segment. Work closely with the product management team on literature, social media, and other marketing to help advance the Prysmian brand.
The role could require >40% overnight travel during a normal work week.
Compensation involves base salary + quarterly bonus program. A company car is included as part of the compensation package.
The successful candidate will require a well balanced mix of technical, consultative, and relationship sales techniques. A successful candidate will be proactive in building existing relationships, finding new relationships, investigative work, and making Prysmian a relevant factor in the customers business success. The role requires above average public speaking and presentation skills as these are a key daily part of the role.
