Job Description:
As a highly motivated and confident Command Security Services LP member, you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting client employees, visitors, and various facilities. You'll provide excellent customer service, respond to incidents, call for service, conduct regular security patrols, and document activity while helping to promote a creative work environment at the Client site/s.
Responsibilities:

+ Responsible for properly caring for all company and client-provided equipment, such as Cyber Keys, Radios, I.D Badges, and Vehicle upkeep.
+ Submits new and innovative ideas to enhance job functions and company best practices.
+ Assists business groups as needed.
+ Ability to help train new security officer(s) as needed.
+ Responsible for other duties as assigned.

CSS' maintains a primary office location at Moffett Federal Airfield (M.F.A.) in Mountain View, CA. The Federal Government has primary Law Enforcement authority at this location. Sunstates Security is currently hiring an experienced National Account Manager to be based out of San Jose, CA. The National Account Manager is responsible for the daily functioning of contract sites for client including operations, customer service, personnel management, security & safety in accordance with Sunstates objectives. The National Account Manager shall be available to support the services and any related issues arising from the service agreement.
This position offers a base salary of $125,000 - plus an annual performance-based bonus, full medical, dental and vision insurance coverage, generous PTO, and a 401 K plan with companymatch.
*This position will be based in San Jose but the candidate must be available to travel up to 25% of the time between sites in UT, NV, CA TX, NJ and NY as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Management/Leadership:
+ Responsible for the direction, coordination, and management of all site Security Officers.
+ Identify and recruit new talent with the assistance of the HR department.
+ Process new employees through the Sunstates Security onboarding system.
+ Train, develop, motivate, and empower Security Officers to oversee all day-to-day operations of the site and promote the highest standards of efficiency, profitability, customer service and ethics.
+ Train subordinates on procedural guidelines, company policies, and operational & site-specific forms.
+ Active participation in the employee on-boarding process including new hire interviewing and selection of candidates that meet Sunstates' required level of qualifications and skills, ensuring hires receive appropriate training and licensure within the designated time frame.
+ Manage employee performance for the sites including appraising performance; administering reward and incentive programs; coaching and staff development initiatives; and corrective actions with branch management guidance. In all employment activities; will work with the appropriate supervisor to ensure that all decisions comply with company policy, federal and state regulations.
+ Promote positive employee relations through meeting and developing a rapport with all internal & external customers, addressing complaints, and resolving issues with regional management guidance.
+ Act as the primary contact for the sites and contact the local office when necessary.
+ Maintain records with the officers assigned to the sites to ensure full participation with the Sunstates Security LMS and training platform when applicable.
Operations:
+ Coordinate with Region to establish the site's goals & objectives and communicate these with the customers as required.
+ Work with action plans towards goal achievement, including the establishment of sites and personnel quotas and/or goals.
+ Manage administrative and operational functions to ensure the working schedule is accurate, the projected working schedule is posted, vacation or time off requests are within company guidelines, the branch receives the scheduled weekly hours, and personnel topics are addressed with management guidance.
+ Manage account inspections and the inspection scorecard to assure compliance and meet/exceed our commitment.
+ Produce Quality Assurance checks through eHub to ensure positive results.
+ Fax, email, or deliver the Account Inspections to the regional office each month by the 3rd day each month.
+ Ensure that you are able to respond to questions for security personnel, respond to site events, or have a qualified backup when you are not able to remain available.
Cost Control & Budgetary:
+ Ensure accounts remain consistently on budgetary and service-related targets, be able to respond effectively to goal deficiencies, and generate and implement action plans to remedy deficiencies and meet or exceed goals (overtime, turnover, uniform management).
Business Development & Customer Relations:
+ Foster a superior level of customer relations/service in order to ensure client retention and satisfaction.
+ Promote Sunstates reputation of professionalism and ethics; and create and expose new and existing opportunities and markets.
QUALIFICATIONS

CSOs will provide armed security to courthouses under the USMS contract. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** Includes the following and other duties may be assigned: Perform entrance control: Enforce the District's entry and identification system which includes operating security screening equipment to detect weapons, contraband, and prohibited items, checking items such as handbags, briefcases, computers, packages, baby carriages, wheelchairs, etc.
Perform roving patrol: Patrol court facilities and grounds of the facility in accordance with applicable post orders.
Perform stationary post assignments: Stand guard at stationary posts which include (but not limited to) monitoring closed-circuit television, duress alarm systems and other security equipment, courtrooms, judge chambers, and jury rooms.
Perform escort duties: When directed, provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, jurors, and other designated individuals.
Perform garage parking and pedestrian control: Where applicable, direct traffic and control lights on court facility properties, as described in the post orders and/or standard operating procedures.
Enforce law and order: Enforce federal law while in the performance of assigned duties. This includes (but not limited to) detaining any person attempting to gain unauthorized access to Government property, or a court proceeding(s), or attempting to commit acts that imperil the safety and security of Government employees, property, and the public.
Prepare reports and records: Prepare various reports and records regarding contract performance issues, such as labor hours worked, accidents, fire, bomb threats, unusual incidents, or unlawful acts that occurred within the court facility area.
Court attendance: Responsible for securing unattended courtrooms, an inspection of courtrooms prior to a proceeding, testing of security devices, and other duties concerning security of the court area.
Preserve order: Responsible for providing security presence in the courtroom, enforcing federal law and judicial orders within the courtroom, enforcing local court rules regarding prohibited items, and providing protection to court proceedings as circumstances dictate.
**Requirements**
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least three (3) calendar years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or its military equivalency (Master-at-Arms, CGPD, Security Forces Specialist, etc.); all three (3) years must have occurred within the last seven (7) years. The experience must have included general arrest authority.
Language Skills: Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must possess the ability to understand, explain, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have a valid driver's license from state of residency and a safe driving record for the past five years; Must receive clearance from the Department of Justice. Must have completed or graduated from certified Federal, state, county, local or military law enforcement training academy and able to provide certification as proof.
Other Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age; Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
