  • Steady Work - work 40-50 hours consistently

Pay Rate - will be based on experience $20-$30/hr

Hours - Monday - Friday from 6:30am - 3:00pm + OT, running 8-10 hour days.

Job Sites - one job site, in the Hazleton area.

Job Description: candidates will be performing various phases of new construction work for a manufacturing building.

They may be asked to perform the following and other tasks as well:

- rough-in and finished work

- conduit bending

- running and pulling wires

- installation of electrical systems - panels, switch gears, switches, receptacles, and various other electrical fixtures

- blueprint reading is a big plus

- safety is HUGE, ask if they have their OSHA-10

- must have their own tools - basic hand and power tools (cordless), lineman's, side cutters, channel locks, needle nose, strippers, flashlight, volt tick or multi meter, roto-splits, tape measure, key hole saw, and utility knife...need to have all of these or at least 75% of the tools.

-must have their own PPE - Hard hat, high viz shirts/vest, safety glasses and work boots

Typical Day - tool box meeting to determine assignments. proceed to complete tasks independently or as a team until the end of the day.

Responsibilities


The Electrician performs and coordinates the installation, repair and service of electric and electronic components in a residential and light commercial setting. You must have experience as a residential electrician, and you must have a positive attitude.


Install, maintain and repair installed existing equipment and related AC and DC existing branch circuits and feeders. Determine general condition of all electrical equipment, be able to troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and determine extent of necessary repairs. Ability to determine and clearly identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing repair projects. Evaluate customer requests, price projects, troubleshoot customer issues, and present a description of a work order to a customer.
Requirements



Must have current Driver's License and submit to a background check Must have tools, vehicle and good references Must have experience in the remodeling or home repair trades Independent Contractors must carry liability insurance and workers comp Must carry electrician license Must pass screening process Must have a smart phone and access to the internet

IES Commercial, Inc. - Commercial & Industrial Division, in Holdrege, NE seeking full-time Substation Technicians for work in the Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska and South Dakota areas as needed. Per Diem Eligibility Applies.
* Works under general direction of job foreman and other project supervisors.
* Perform power and control wiring of substation equipment and the control house in accordance with project drawings and details as well as electrical codes.
* Install substation equipment, conduit and grounding.
* Perform or assist with other substation tasks such as welding, pipe bending, concrete forming and finishing, erection of steel structures and material handling.
* Works from all types of ladders and personnel lifting equipment in accordance with safety standards.
* Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
* Travel as required.

Qualifications

* 2 years' recent substation technician experience
* Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain
* Ability to read blueprints and construction documents
* Successfully pass DOT physicals/drug tests as required
* Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) DOT drug test, background check, and MVR check.
* Minimum 1 year recent experience in rural and municipal high voltage substations/switch yards.
* Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain.
* OSHA 10 or ability to obtain.
* Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
* Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check when applicable per customer contract requirement.
