JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: SITE SAFETY PROFESSIONAL
LOCATION: Auburn Hills, MI
OBJECTIVE
The Site Safety Professional is responsible for managing jobsite safety activities, including developing site-specific safety plans, implementing customer-driven requirements, and ensuring a safe work environment. This role actively participates in pre-task planning and risk reduction efforts. It is a full-time hourly position with benefits. Overtime and travel may be required.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Commit to CCCs people-based safety culture and comply with corporate safety policies and leadership training requirements.
Collaborate with the clients project management team, CCC project executives, engineers, the regional safety manager, trade subcontractors, local authorities, and designers to ensure project success.
Develop and implement the site-specific Jobsite Safety Plan.
Establish onsite emergency plans and offsite medical arrangements.
Conduct safety orientations for all direct-hire and subcontractor employees.
Assist onsite supervision in developing pre-task plans.
Train supervision in the safety observation program, implement it onsite, and communicate relevant information to employees.
Support the project management team in completing incident analyses.
Organize and lead weekly Toolbox Talks.
Conduct daily site assessments to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and site safety standards, documenting findings.
Maintain required safety documentation, including Safety Data Sheets.
Conduct additional safety training as needed, such as aerial lift, confined space, roof access, cut-off grinder, fall protection, and hazard communication training.
Represent CCC professionally in customer safety meetings.
Verify employees meet CCC and customer drug testing and safety training requirements before starting work.
Maintain the CCC Project Safety Board with required information.
Enforce the use of personal protective equipment to ensure worker safety.
Perform other duties as assigned.
CORE COMPETENCIES
OSHA 30 certification required; OSHA 500 or 510 preferred.
Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) preferred.
Experience in industrial and heavy commercial construction safety preferred.
Ability to work independently and lead safety initiatives onsite.
Energetic, proactive, and skilled in implementing and managing site-specific safety plans.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Strict adherence to safety protocols and the ability to follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment guidelines, and company policies, is required to perform work safely and effectively.

The Global Functional Safety Manager architects and implements the client's global strategy for functional safety (ISO 26262), in order to secure the client's position among the leaders in the automotive industry in the area of functional safety.
Qualifications
JOB FUNCTIONS (ESSENTIAL)
Establish, implement and maintain the client's global strategy for competency with ISO 26262.
Identify the necessary functional safety processes required for compliance with the state of the art standard (ISO 26262) for all functional areas including engineering, operations, quality, program management, and all other supporting functions.
Develop and maintain the functional safety processes including the necessary guidelines and templates, and incorporate them into the ME's global product creation system (GPEP and GPMS).
Deliver the training on the use and implementation of the functional safety processes.
Establish the customer programs support and compliance strategy including roles and responsibilities for the different functional areas and gain approval for the strategy from senior management.
Own and lead the functional safety Development Interface Agreement with the customers during the program quotation phase, and ensure that the required level of resources is communicated to the functional areas and program management.
Own and conduct the ISO 26262 functional safety audits, confirmation reviews, and functional safety assessments for all relevant customer programs.
Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 for all ME relevant customer programs.
Coach and lead the functional safety engineers' in the customer programs ISO 26262 compliance activities.
Coach the program teams in the implementation of the ISO 26262 as necessary.
Assess the global training needs
Establish a global training plan
Deliver the training to all ME functional areas depending on the required level of competency
Establish the plans for the development of System Elements Out Of Context for all ME critical components.
Establish the guidelines for Software Tools Qualifications for all ME relevant tools and its maintaining

Knowledge and Education
Bachelor or Master in Electrical, Electronics, or Software Engineering or similar subjects / industry
5- 10 years' experience in the design and development of electrical/electronic automotive products
Work Experience
5 years' experience in the development of functional safety relevant product; vehicle level experience with the implementation of functional safety is a plus
5 years' engineering / quality management experience
In-depth knowledge of ISO 26262 with proven experience in the implementation of the standard in automotive programs
Proven expertise in working with major engineering processes including requirements development and management, design verification, and design validation
Proven expertise in the areas of safety analysis for System, Hardware, and Software including FMEA, Common Cause Analysis, Dependent Failure Analysis, FTA, ….
Proven expertise in relevant quality process including change management, configuration management, and issue resolution
Hands on experience in the development of engineering and quality processes
Experience in delivering technical training

You will be responsible for supervising and training drivers, managing on-the-road performance, responding to incidents, and maintaining service standards. **This is an in-person position with the expectation that you will be in the field 2-3 days per week**
What You'll Do:
Conduct on-the-road supervision, including ride-alongs and shadowing, to ensure compliance with safety and service standards.
Monitor and evaluate driver interactions and adherence to safety protocols, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
Partner with the Field Manager to provide continuous training, including initial, remedial, and refresher courses.
Deliver hands-on coaching on best practices, safety procedures, and service expectations.
Lead post-accident and post-incident protocols, serving as the Designated Employer Representative (DER) for DOT compliance.
Act as the primary point of contact for urgent operational issues, implementing real-time solutions to ensure service continuity.
Review and assess complaint reports, driver feedback, and training session documentation.
Conduct training needs assessments and implement necessary improvements.
85% on-the-road supervision, 15% training and administrative duties.
Who You Are:
Experience in transit supervision, transportation management, or a similar field preferred.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide drivers.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick, effective decisions in dynamic situations.
Strong communication skills for effective feedback delivery and conflict resolution.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance

Compensation and Benefits:
Final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, and skills. Salary reflected does not include equity or variable pay, where applicable
Salary Range: $20-$25/hr
Expected hours: 20-30 hours per week, including on evening and/or weekend coverage
Saturday and Sunday, 2:30pm - 11:30pm
