Assists VP of Credit / Credit Manager / CCO, with the collection and analysis of information that reflects the creditworthiness of current and prospective clients in assigned territory. Performs initial and/or thorough review by gathering and analyzing their background credit and legal information to validate their credit worthiness and legal standing.
Examines, analyzes, and evaluates complex documents and business structures. Extrapolates data from financial statements / credit agencies / “Google” searches /tax returns / and all available resources, in order to perform financial spreads and cash flow analyses utilizing “Financial Tools” software.
Analyzes financial information such as management accounts and cash flow statements and utilizes knowledge and independent judgment to determine the degree of risk when compared to the Bank’s Credit policy. Makes appropriate recommendations.

About The Role....
Under the general supervision of the Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending the Commercial Credit Analyst reviews credit data to evaluate commercial loan requests. Analyzes sources of financial information to determine potential risk and profitability of a loan. The Commercial Credit Analyst collects and reviews interim financial reports of existing member relationships to evaluate compliance with loan documentation requirements and prepare periodic reports for review by management. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements affecting the area of responsibility.
What You'll Do....
- Underwrite C & I and CRE credit requests for new and existing commercial client base to produce credit worthiness recommendations. This includes collecting information from various internal and external resources, recording into risk base model, analyzing, interpreting and reporting results and ensuring signature authority has been obtained.
- Spread financial statements and conduct thorough analysis of applications for commercial credit requests and for internal loan review.
- Calculate debt service coverage analyses and assessments of collateral.
- Investigate credit records and related financial information.
- Prepare loan presentations and make recommendations based on financial findings.
- Demonstrate strong attention to details, follow up and problem-solving abilities.
- Monitor and maintain certain collateral records and update borrowing base calculations.
- Efficiently manage deadlines in high-pressure work environment with varying degrees of supervision.
- Prepare annual reviews for existing members.
- Maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with Federal and State regulations, bank policies and internal banking policies and procedures related to the position.
- Performs other duties as required.

+ Spreads and independently analyzes complex financial statements, cash flow ability, etc., to develop an assessment of a borrower's credit risk. Works closely with loan officers in evaluating new credits.
+ Assesses the borrower's overall financial condition; details risks and mitigants; evaluates adequacy of repayment sources, including cash flow, leverage, collateral adequacy, and guarantor strength.
