Essential Duties
Diagnoses HVAC system performance through observation, testing and setup as required by trade/position and type/size of equipment to include split systems up to 25 tons, mini split systems, RTUS up to 25 tons, WSHP up to 25 tons, self contained systems, CRAC units, airside, AHUs and EFs. Proficiently operates hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment.

Performs disassembly and reassembly of large or small commercial HVAC equipment to perform troubleshooting and planned maintenance as indicated in the service agreement.

Completes service contracts, quoted projects and demand service calls with high quality while maintaining profitability. Develops long-term relationships with customers and explains work performed to the customer's satisfaction.

Participates in technician on-call-stand-by rotation as dictated by business unit policies and procedures.

Safely operates motor vehicles and trailers as evidenced by past driving performance record. Meets requirements of fleet safety and driving policy and adheres to all company safety requirements.

Purchases materials and issues purchase order numbers to suppliers.

Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle.

Able to work effectively with app based software.
Minimum Requirements

Job Responsibilities:
• Respond to roadside service calls to have tires changed
• Mounting/dismounting and replacing tires on commercial vehicles on the road
• Inspect tires and vehicles for additional problems
• Maintain clean work environment and equipment
• Work independently in all weather conditions to service commercial vehicles as needed
• Additional tasks as assigned
Job Requirements:
• Driver's License Required, with ability to pass pre-employment driver's file and DOT physical
• Ability to work during night shifts, and overtime with minimal supervision
• Commercial vehicle skills and general mechanical experience preferred
• Ability to safely change and repair commercial tires on the road and in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work non-standard hours
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift, carry or move a maximum of 150 pounds with frequent pushing/pulling of 50 pounds

• Minimum of One (1) years of experience in automotive/truck maintenance and repair OR completion of accredited vocational technical school program
• Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair
• Have prior knowledge of engine, transmission, brake, and suspension repairs in the medium/ heavy or a good knowledge of electrical and air systems.
• Automotive transmission experience considered an asset
• Knowledge of safety procedures and practices necessary while operating or repairing vehicles and equipment
• Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks
• Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information

Experience & Education

• Minimum one (1) years of vehicle maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license, CDL license a PLUS
• ASE certifications is a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

• Ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, push, and pull
• Ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds
• Assist in lifting up to one hundred (100) pounds
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks and drug test
