POSITION OVERVIEW
Oversees and operates the service routes and tire areas in a professional manner. Supervises and maintains staff to appropriate levels; and assists store manager in operating the store in a safe, profitable, clean, and positive manner. Works closely with Store Manager to achieve overall sales, service, and operational objectives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Vendor Relations: Orders and monitors all shop & tool supplies from vendors, adhering to the work order/rebill program as directed by company policy. Purchases and monitors shop supplies. Follows up with credits and returns in a timely fashion.
Directly supervise and train employees; assign monthly work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels within the route service & shop areas; coordinate lunch hours and vacation schedules; develop assignments; help problem solve; evaluate employee's performance; take disciplinary action as warranted; conduct interviews and assist with hiring decisions.
Is familiar with and willing to enforce all company policies including safety and proper store operation. Ensures employees attend safety meetings and comply with company safety goals, which includes timely reporting of accidents and completing required documentation.
Oversees vehicle inspections (includes commercial vehicles) on every vehicle entering the shop according to company standards. Inspects vehicles serviced in the shop to ensure Commercial Tire exceeds customer expectations (quality and timeliness).
Through proper vehicle inspection, detects mechanical problems; tire issues: recommends preventive services and helps sell services and tires to the customer, if warranted.
Make recommendations on sipping; balancing; and all services offered by Commercial Tire. Completes proper brake and shock inspections.
Reviews and writes work orders; maintains records on repair orders; schedules appointments; processes tickets; initiates purchase orders for parts; and assists with updating information on the computer.
Schedule routes service techs within their Daily service routes: dispatch service calls for emergency & scheduled service ensures completion and accuracy of routes.
Maintain dispatch log Dailey in Commercial Tires website (**************** to insure customer service; inventory; billing and records of service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Install aftermarket accessories and upgrades on trucks, service bodies, and SUV's(e.g., Air bags, lighting kits, tonneau covers, hitches, headache racks, tool boxes.)

Mounting and dismounting tires, flat repairs, and vehicle inspections. This is the core of the business function and a starting point for all other positions.

POSITION OVERVIEW - The Account Manager 2 position is eligible for a commissions program.

· Maintains vehicle cleanliness and mechanical maintenance, and ensures vehicle registration, insurance, safety and OSHA materials and devices are up-to-date.
· Tire work (retail and/or commercial, on and off site)
· Active role in product and service sales
· Mount and dismount, air pressure checks and repairs
· Ensures lug nuts are tightened to the proper torque specifications
· Demonstrate the ability to conform to CT driving requirements ( See policy on speeding, harsh driving)

· Proficient in the larger truck and the equipment needed on the larger trucks.

· Demonstrates over a 6 month period the ability to conform to DOT and Commercial Tire driving requirement and follow applicable Company Policies.

QUALIFICATIONS - Unless indicated otherwise, these are the knowledge, skills and/or abilities that are preferred
· A valid driver's license (required) and all DOT Documents to include medical card to operate vehicles greater than 10,000 #s
· Insurable driving record (required)
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 1-2 years of tire industry related experience.
· TIA Training for CST
· At least 18 years of age
· Regular attendance and punctuality is essential
