Job Title: Auto Mechanic - Level 3 FLSA Status: Non-exempt Reports to: Store Manager (or similar position) POSITION OVERVIEW Is responsible for inspecting and testing vehicles following Commercial Tire standards, completing diagnostics and repairs such as alignments, steering and suspension diagnostics and repair, brake inspection and replacement, heating and a/c system diagnostics and repair, engine systems diagnostics and repair. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Completed vehicle inspection every time and communicates to the front counter the items that may need to be repaired. Consistently Inspect and recommend needed repairs and/or services using the vehicles inspection report. Proper completion of Vehicle Inspection Report Diagnose and repair steering, suspension, braking, heating and a/c system, and engine maintenance services. Able to perform the following according to manufactures specifications: Vehicle alignments according to manufacturer's specifications Performs vehicle Fluid Exchanges Oil Changes / Air Filters Service customer vehicles according to Commercial Tire guidelines. Correctly completing Commercial Tire VIR inspection and documentation processes. Recommend products and services when needed. Able to quote repairs. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Support and track purchasing and returns. Supports company safety and operational standards and adheres to all audit requirements. Completes all necessary training and maintains certifications (or equivalent i.e., Ford). ASE A4 - Steering and Suspension ASE A5 - Brakes ASE A6 - Electrical System ASE A7 - Heat and Air Systems 609 AC certification is required for air conditioning service repair or within 1 year of position. ASE A8 - Engine Performance preferred but not required Completes jobs in a timely manner and communicates when there are items that will take longer. Assist with phones, front counter, tire, and lube shops, etc. Completes all training as assigned. Provide own tools Other duties as assigned. Job Title: Tire Technician, Level 1 FLSA Status: Non-exempt Reports to: Store Manager POSITION OVERVIEW Mounting and dismounting tires, flat repairs, and vehicle inspections. This is the core of the business function and a starting point for all other positions. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Perform tire work (both retail and commercial). Mount and dismount, air pressure checks, balancing, tire rotation and flat repairs. Ensures lug nuts are tightened to the proper torque specifications.
