We currently have 10 openings for Class A Flatbed drivers. Driver must have at least 1 year OTR experience in the last 3 years. 6 months of that experience must be Class A Flatbed experience. Your past Flatbed experience must be verifiable. Meaning the past employers must be in business and available to give you a reference right away. You must have experience hauling steel pipe or flat steel on a flatbed trailer to qualify. Drivers will be in a regular late model Freightliner with a sleeper. You'll be home every weekend tarping approximately 40% of loads getting an additional $30 per load when tarped. Our drivers comfort and safety is job one. We are bringing in new equipment and state-of-the-art trucks all the time. You'll get plenty of miles. Dedicated lanes are opening up constantly now. Our running area is east of the Mississippi. No New York City. To qualify you will have... Hiring experienced only with at least 1 year recent OTR experience in the last 3 years with at least 6 months of that being FLAT BED experience. OTR experience is defined as driving in at least 5 states besides your own spending the night in the truck. Drivers will be at least 21 years of age with a Class A license in good standing. You must have an excellent driving and job history. No terminations due to safety. No more than 7 jobs in the last 3 years Must have a clean background and be able to pass all DOT tests. You will be hauling building materials aluminum pipe and coils, ingots and steel. Coil experience not necessary, we will train you at orientation. Orientation starts on Monday. Primary Responsibilities Include: The Haul Truck Driver is responsible for operating trucks to transport dirt, aggregate, asphalt, and other materials and/or equipment to various job site locations Will also work in the yard area to stockpile and move materials as needed This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of equipment/trucks Work will be performed per the supervisor's instruction Heavy equipment haul truck driver experience required Must be experienced in loading, unloading and securing all types of heavy construction equipment Operates truck in safe and professional manner on public highways, roads, in the yard area and at various job sites to deliver materials Trucks driven include but are not limited to: belly dumps, dump truck and semi-tractor truck with attached trailers Performs daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines Checks fluid levels, tires, lights, and other controls for safe operation Attaches and removes pup trailers, belly dump & side dump trailers, transfer trailers and tilt/transport trailers to truck as needed Keeps accurate log of deliveries and completes required paperwork for billing Load and unload equipment or materials Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle Maintain daily vehicle mileage logs Unrolls truck tarp to cover loads when required Assure product quality to the best of the Driver's ability Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the supervisor Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required Other duties as may be assigned Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined company policies Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required Job requires climbing, stooping, bending, squatting, frequent lifting of extensions chutes, stretching, sitting/driving, shifting gears, and covering/uncovering load when applicable Able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects or controls, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear May require sitting for extended periods of time Able to work in all weather conditions The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; and risk of electrical shock or burn Job Requirements: Four-year degree in Construction Science or Engineering or related experience Must pass DOT physical, drug screen and criminal background check MVR must meet company and DOT standards Must maintain current driver's license that meets state requirements, i.e., CDL, Class A and/or B Driver with possible hazmat and tanker endorsements Willing to train employees who may not have driving experience must currently maintain a CDL A or CDL B license Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required Compliance with all OSHA and/or MSHA regulations Thorough operational knowledge and skills of trucks and related equipment to be operated Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently under a variety of working conditions Ability to read, write and do basic mathematical calculations in order to keep time and material records, and read blueprints or other project documents Ability to operate heavy and complex equipment requiring skill and the exercise of independent judgment Must be familiar with securing heavy equipment and other over dimensional loads Must be able to lift hood of truck unassisted; up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis APPLY TODAY

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate with signal operators to safely perform job tasks on job sites Check vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good operating order Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as adding oil, fuel, and radiator fluid, or performing minor repairs. Drive vehicle safely to transport and deliver the product, following applicable state and federal regulations. Maintain logs of operating hours and delivery of the product, following applicable state and federal regulations. Check vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good operating order. Operates trucks of various sizes and weights to facilitate the movement of company equipment and vehicles Understand proper tie-down techniques to ensure loads are secured Maneuver vehicle into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
