What You'll Do:
Transportation of Goods: Safely and legally operate company vehicles to transport goods locally and over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws, DOT, and FMCSA regulations.
Terminal-Based Operations: Start and end the workday, or tour of duty when operating regionally (laying over), at the terminal, ensuring the timely departure and return of all assigned deliveries.
Route Execution and Optimization: Effectively execute assigned routes while strategically considering factors such as traffic, weather conditions, and delivery schedules, while ensuring adaptability of changing conditions to ensure prompt and safe/compliant deliveries.
Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle, promptly reporting any maintenance issues. Maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle.
Documentation: Complete accurate and timely paperwork, including delivery and mileage logs, to comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Communication: Maintain effective communication with dispatch, shippers, and receivers to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues that may arise during transportation.
Compliance: Stay current on and adhere to all DOT and FMCSA regulations applicable to local and regional transportation, including hours of service, weight limits, and vehicle maintenance requirements.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, representing P2D positively when interacting with clients and the public.
Qualifications:
License & Medical Card: Valid Class A commercialdriver's license with a clean driving record and valid medical card.
Experience: 24 months of verifiable and proven Class A driving experience in the past 3-5 years as a truckdriver, demonstrating a commitment to safety and reliability. No more than 3 moving violations and no more than 1 preventable accident in the past 3 years. It is a plus but not a requirement if you have some experience in the following: use of liftgates, OTR driver, hazmat and tanker endorsement.
Knowledge: Familiarity with DOT and FMCSA regulations related to local transportation. As well as hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software for ELD and TMS.
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move heavy items, as well as sit for extended periods during transportation, within Hours-of-Service Regulations.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members, dispatch, and customers.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing schedules, traffic conditions, weather conditions, and delivery requirements. Willing and able to maximize DOT 8-day 70-hour rule when required during the work week.
Commitment to Service: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a commitment to always representing P2D with best-in-class service.
TWIC Card: A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential card required.
Physical Requirement: Must be able to lift or move heavy equipment/items, 50lbs or more.

Responsibilities
Drives a commercial vehicle safely primarily in our road operation during overnight hours. Terminal to terminal or terminal to a relay point and return to home terminal.
Road operation is Monday - Friday night, and occasional weekend. Drivers are home daily unless unforeseen circumstance arise such as weather.
You may occasionally have to make a customer delivery or pickup.

Qualifications

Must pass a PITT OHIO driving test administered by an approved PITT OHIO trainer or PITT OHIO designee;

Refusal to take a test provided for by an implied consent law.
Reckless homicide or involuntary manslaughter.
Operating while under suspension or revocation (Except as Listed Above).
Leaving the scene of an accident or “hit and run”.
Speed exhibitions, contests, or drag racing.
Use of a motor vehicle in the commission of a felony.
Assault with a motor vehicle.
Reckless driving, careless endangerment, or road rage.
Operating a motor vehicle without permission of the owner.
Fleeing or eluding a police officer.
Must have no past pattern or record of citations or convictions for more than three motor vehicle violations, (excluding those listed above in items a. through l.), during the 36-month period from any source including the MVR and or any other Driver Performance History report;
Must have no past pattern or record of involvement in more than three at-fault traffic accidents while operating a motor vehicle during the 36-month period from any source including the MVR and or any other Driver Performance History report;

Key Responsibilities:

Safety & Operation:
Safely operate a 40+ foot motor coach in various road and weather conditions.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections (checking tires, lights, brakes, emergency equipment, etc.).
Strictly comply with all Hours-of-Service (HOS) regulations and maintain an impeccable driving log.
Hold a valid CommercialDriver's License (CDL) with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements.
Customer Service:
Greet passengers warmly and assist with luggage loading and unloading.
Provide a narrated tour or relevant information about the route and destinations.
Address passenger inquiries and resolve any issues with patience and professionalism.
Ensure a comfortable onboard environment by regulating temperature and announcing rest stops.
Professionalism & Logistics:
Maintain the coach's interior and exterior cleanliness.
Coordinate with dispatchers and tour guides to adhere to schedules and itineraries.
Complete necessary paperwork, including trip logs, incident reports, and fuel receipts.
Present a neat and professional appearance in accordance with company uniform standards.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid CDL Class A or B with Passenger (P) and Air Brake (X) endorsements.
Clean driving record and successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

As an Armored TruckDriver,
- you are on the front line of our company.
- With the utmost professionalism, you take responsibility for the safe transportation of coins, currency, and other valuables via armored vehicles to and from our clients' locations.
- You drive safely by being attentive and carefully following your designated routes.
- While completing your designated routes, you stay in close communication with the dispatch team about any issues or events.
- Happy to get a workout in while on the job, you load and unload cargo consisting of multiple bags of coins weighing as much as 50 lbs. each.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ARMORED CAR DRIVER

- Shields Drivers are scheduled four (4) or five (5) days per work week Monday through Saturday.
- Work schedules are posted the week prior.

The Transport Driver is responsible for transporting products safely between facilities, terminals, and customer locations while complying with all federal, state, local, and company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer; report any mechanical issues to appropriate personnel.
Accurately maintain both electronic and paper daily driver logs and all necessary delivery tickets and bills of lading.
Load, transport, and unload fuel at terminals, stores, wholesale, and retail customers' tanks in compliance with company/terminal policies and guidelines for transporting hazardous materials.
Enter all load information into the electronic reporting system at time of loading and delivery.
Communicate with logistics department and field management on customer issues or safety concerns.
Maintain and promote professional relationships with all team members, terminal employees, customers, and guests.
Able to safely clean up a fuel spill and/or notify the correct personnel in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness of truck and trailer.
Model behaviors that support the company's common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level.
Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Other Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent certificate preferred.
Minimum 3 years prior experience driving a combination vehicle required.
Maximum of 2 moving violations in the previous three-year period.
Hold and maintain a current Class A CommercialDrivers' License (CDL) with hazmat and tanker endorsements required; doubles where required by operation (hazmat endorsement not required for DEF transport drivers).
Qualify for and maintain a DOT medical examination certificate required. Secure and maintain necessary terminal access and governmental identification (e.g., TWIC cards) where applicable.
Knowledge of federal regulations: Department of Transportation (DOT), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), OSHA, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
Ability to communicate effectively with Team Members and customers.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues as pertain to fuel transport and delivery.
Ability to follow directives and work independently.
