The Role
A Commercial Underwriter will be an integral part of the Commercial P&C team, reporting to the Commercial Underwriting Leader. This position will be 100% remote in the United States. The Senior Mortgage Banker is responsible for underwriting residential and equity lines/loans ensuring compliance with appropriate company and secondary market investor standards, including Fannie / Freddie and additional investors (Wells, FHLB, BofA, etc.), ensuring loan requests meet program and product specifications, suggesting counteroffers to a different precut and / or program when appropriate, and communicating decision (approval, suspense, denial) to appropriate individuals and issuing proper documentation.
