MHS is seeking qualified and highly motivated Commissioning Engineers to join our team. We are searching for aggressive candidates who desire a challenging career filled with creativity and innovation.

This position involves heavy travel (50-75%) to commission, test and verify new automation throughout the U.S. Great opportunity for junior engineers who are ready to start a rewarding pathway to other areas of automation such as control system design, PLC and HMI programming.

TASKS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Debug various automation systems Engage in some configuration and minor programming Test system performance Verification and validation of engineered system (hardware and/or software) to specifications Interface with clients and subcontractors and resolve problems and issues satisfactorily Design pre-punched enclosures and subpanels utilizing AutoCADCreate and update project “workbook,” pre-check electrical drawings for accuracy/completeness, UL requirements prior to quoting and material ordering

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or, Computer Engineering or related field5+ years' experience in automation, control system design, PLC and HMI programming Knowledgeable of electrical and controls engineering theories and principles Significant electrical aptitude and knowledge of acceptable practices, techniques, and codes VFD experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens or Schneider is a plus but not required PLC experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix & CompactLogix), Modicon and Siemens (S7) is a plus but not required HMI experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Wonderware, Ignition and WinCC is a plus but not required AutoCAD experience to create electrical drawings and schematics.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.

Scope & Responsibilities
Manage multiple, diverse energy and commissioning projects, including client interface, team coordination, and schedule & budget management Perform field work including site audits, systems testing, systems troubleshooting, and development of energy improvement measures Execute testing protocols to verify the operating energy performance of building systems as part of the overall commissioning process Perform technical analysis necessary to support development and verification of energy savings for buildings and organizations Leverage data analytics to support energy engineering and commissioning processes Run new construction and existing building energy and commissioning projects or support significant portions of projects with minimal task level oversight. Tasks include:Energy Projects: Energy savings project development, performing site energy audits, analysis and calculation of energy conservation measure performance, measurement and verification (M&V) of energy savings performance, use of analytical tools (SkySpark analytics experience preferred).New Construction Commissioning Projects: Project management, design reviews, submittal reviews, Cx documentation coordination, functional testing, SkySpark driven analysis.Existing Building Audits and Commissioning Projects: Project management, ASHRAE Level 1&2 Audits, field testing, SkySpark driven analysis, project presentations, bid document development, implementation support, M&V.Ability to travel to sites for field work but based in the Mid-Atlantic region, preferably Washington DC area.

Required Qualifications:
3-10+ years of experience in engineering field (mechanical preferred), including building energy engineering (MEP and controls). Desired: energy project, commissioning and project management experience Exemplary analytical and problem-solving skills in the areas of energy and commissioning performance Demonstrated success delivering complex, custom project scopes for a variety of commercial, healthcare and institutional clients Experience linking the impacts of a wide range of energy and environmental indicators to business financial metrics Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related discipline. Advanced Systems Group LLC. is seeking an experienced Systems Integration Commissioning Engineer to join our high performing team and oversee audiovisual systems integration projects while helping to ensure client success.

Our portfolio covers an array of projects including but not limited to supporting sales, designing, building and expanding video production studios, sound recording studios, corporate event centers, video presentation systems, commercial sound systems, and screening rooms. The successful candidate will join our Broadcast Systems and Solutions team, which is an extraordinarily talented group of engineers and project personnel who thrive in our collaborative work environment with our dynamic portfolio of projects.
This is a remote role based in the United States.

Responsibilities

+ Support sales, design, and installation efforts from beginning stages of the project plan until its completion

+ Manage and maintain open lines of communication to meet the needs of the client and project stakeholders

+ Collaborate with Sales in the design and quoting of AV systems

+ Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure that project plan is executed in a timely manner

+ Communicate client requests for modifications and additions to systems to Project Manager

+ Collaborate with other engineers to generate drawings and specifications for fabrication

+ Review and understand the project documents including scope of work, specifications, architectural drawings, technical systems drawings

+ Clearly present verbal and written reports and project related presentations, to project stakeholders

+ Perform as built updates to drawings and documentation

+ Test systems in fabrication and installations to verify operation of equipment and design

+ Travel as required for site inspections, commissioning, programming, documentation, and training related to the system installations

Skills and Qualifications

+ Minimum 3 years of experience in systems integration projects in the M&E or Audiovisual industry

+ Related technical degree or equivalent technical experience

+ Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

+ Proficiency in programming AV equipment

+ Proficiency with MS Project, MS Excel, Word, and Google Sheets tools
