    Reporting to the Director, Programs the Assistant Director, Programs, Case Management is responsible for supporting case management and housing placement work in Queens. With the goal of moving people off the street and into transitional and permanent housing, the Assistant Director supports the Director with collaborations with other outreach providers, city agencies, and a broad array of community stakeholders to help reduce street homelessness. The Assistant Director supervises Clinical Coordinators, Street Medicine Coordinators, Housing Specialists, and Housing and Reporting Specialists and ensures Harm Reduction and Housing First strategies and other best-practice clinical interventions are utilized. The Assistant Director works primarily during business hours Monday-Friday, with off hours availability in case of emergency or for special projects/initiatives. The position requires oversight of 24/7 operations and flexibility in work schedule as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise Clinical Coordinators, Housing Specialists, Housing and Reporting Specialists, and Street Medicine Coordinators Provide regular, structured supervision meetings for direct reports Ensure high quality service delivery by supporting best practice interventions with street homeless populations, collaborating with on-site psychiatric/street medicine team, and providing crisis intervention, including 958 removals and risk assessments Promote effective strategies for effective outreach, case management, and placement of clients following Housing First, Harm Reduction, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), Motivational Interviewing and trauma-informed care models of practice Liaison with external stakeholders including service partners, government representatives, community stakeholders, hospital personnel, and other agencies to ensure responsive and effective service planning and program operations Provide clinical and operational direction and leadership to the program; help troubleshoot, problem solve, and strategize solutions around client engagement and challenging behaviors Oversee development and implementation of individual service plans; ensure documentation of client contact and progress is comprehensive and timely Assess and evaluate client functioning Supervise and conduct case conferences Coordinate delivery of care with multiple service providers, particularly transitional housing teams Provide support and guidance to front line staff in managing difficult situations and successfully de-escalating conflict Perform other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: NYS Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) required. Must obtain LMSW within first six months of employment Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience Thorough clinical understanding of relevant service delivery concepts and structures including Housing First, client centered motivational interviewing, Harm Reduction models, behavioral and medical health systems, and the ability to access and negotiate the full range of services for recipients Experience with crisis intervention, including, risk assessments and incident management Ability to work successfully with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders Demonstrated success in working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Ability to delegate and motivate staff to achieve deliverables Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with diverse populations and stakeholders Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams; familiarity with Access-based databases and the ability to learn new programs are required Valid NY, NJ, CT, or PA driver's license with a good driving record, as defined by Breaking Ground is preferred Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Assistant Director, Facilities and Maintenance Reporting to the Director, Facilities and Maintenance, the Assistant Director, Facilities and Maintenance oversees building maintenance and housekeeping services for Breaking Ground's housing portfolio. The Assistant Director partners with the Director and the site-specific Assistant Director implementing standard operating procedures, building maintenance, repairs, and housekeeping to ensure safe, quality spaces. This position has a 35 hour work week ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assist Directors and housing site maintenance staff with utilizing standard operating procedures, janitorial and preventative maintenance schedules; and assist with hands on training• Assist with the adherence to systems of accountability to ensure standards are being consistently met• Participate in interviews for Facility Maintenance Supervisors, Engineers, and other specialized maintenance positions• Assist with creating janitorial schedules, preventative maintenance plans and schedules at transitional housing sites• Help sites in reducing violations, maintaining equipment, and minor repairs• Document own work in Maintenance Connection• Utilize guidelines and protocols for determining what types of work and services can be approved at the housing site-level and what needs to be escalated and how. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, compliance with funding and regulatory requirements, and fostering a trauma-informed, person-centered environment that supports residents' successful reentry into the community. He/she serves as a bridge between the program staff and the Vice President, Director of Mental Health & Housing Services SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the transitional housing program, including staff supervision, resident services, and facility management. Develop, implement, and continuously improve program policies, procedures, and protocols in alignment with best practices for reentry and supportive housing. Ensure that program services are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and promote equity and dignity. Monitor program performance and implement quality improvement strategies based on data and resident feedback. Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff, including case managers, housing coordinators, and support staff. Provide regular supervision, coaching, and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative, supportive, and accountable team culture. Oversee the development and implementation of individualized service plans in collaboration with case management staff. Ensure the program provides access to wraparound services such as behavioral health, employment assistance, legal aid, and life skills development. Advocate for residents' needs and work to reduce barriers to housing stability and community reintegration. Ensure compliance with all contracts, grants, licensing, and legal requirements related to transitional housing and justice-involved populations. Prepare and submit reports to funders, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders as required. Maintain accurate documentation and data in accordance with agency and funder requirements. Build and maintain relationships with criminal justice agencies, housing providers, behavioral health services, and other community partners. Represent the program in community meetings, reentry coalitions, and public forums. Collaborate with referral sources and partners to ensure seamless service delivery and referral processes. On-call responsibilities as needed to support 24/7 program operations. Requires the ability to respond to crises and handle challenging situations with professionalism and compassion. Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Qualifications: Master's degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Psychology, or related field. 5+ years of experience in human services, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role. Demonstrated experience working with justice-involved populations, reentry programs, or supportive housing. Knowledge of housing first, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care models. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Familiarity with local and state reentry and housing systems.
