Sarah Robertson is the Chief Product Officer of CommonLit, an award-winning nonprofit education technology organization dedicated to ensuring that all students have the reading and writing skills they need to succeed in college and beyond.

Since 2014, Sarah has helped build out CommonLit’s extensive content library, designed CommonLit’s first digital user experiences, and overseen the development of CommonLit’s interim assessment platform. Under Sarah’s leadership, the CommonLit suite of products has transformed from a small online teaching resource to a fully digital reading program serving more than 13 million users worldwide.

Prior to joining CommonLit, Sarah earned a master’s in education from Boston University and spent 6 years teaching English in Title I schools. Sarah also served as the founding Literacy Specialist for the Massachusetts Teach For America Institute and helped develop Uncommon Schools’ close reading pedagogy.
