Pros of working at Commonwealth Senior Living

The opportunities! They truly are passionate about associate growth. Upon hire, we're asked what our plans are for the future, and how can CSL support you in getting there. They understand that for some, this may be a steppingstone (this was me) and for others their career. They help you plan out your future and offer support. No matter your starting position - concierge, housekeeper, server, or activities. If you care about people and have a passion for the senior population, Commonwealth Senior Living WILL invest in your future. They hire for heart. CSL has invested so much in me personally. From countless trainings, seminars, workshops, classes, certifications, conferences... and I started as one of the positions listed above just a few years ago. Now I am an Executive Director and continuously working to pay it forward. I changed my course and made this my career. I am very appreciative of the opportunities CSL has allowed me to experience. One of our core values -"We're Passionate, have fun, and celebrate others" is my favorite! It is my mission to celebrate the small achievements because they matter too.

Cons of working at Commonwealth Senior Living

The turnover. I understand it's the industry right now, but I wish more people stuck it out through the tough times. We're not always going to be sitting on the top of the mountain. At some point we have to walk down to get to the other side. More need to understand that tough times are going to happen but it will get better! Stop giving up and bouncing around.

Commonwealth Senior Living benefits

The amount of life knowledge we gain from our residents. They have experienced so much in their lifetime and they are more than willing to share that with others! I am also privileged to be able to make a difference in someone else's life - be it a resident or associate!
