• Assist in setting up dining room, activity room, and living room as necessary.
• Report any needed repairs to maintenance personnel or Executive Director.
• Keep all housekeeping equipment, storage areas, janitor's closets, and housekeeping carts clean and uncluttered, and free of any hazardous equipment and supplies, etc.
• Respond to residents' needs as requested.
• Launder community linens as needed.
• Inform Executive Director or designee of all supply needs in a timely manner.
• Report all accidents/ incidents to the Executive Director on the day of occurrence, along with important resident observations.
• Ensure that cleaning schedules are followed as closely as possible.
• Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to ensure resident rights are protected; honor residents' personal property rights.

The Activity Assistant carries out a specific set of tasks to fulfill the mission of the Resident Program Department. The Activity Assistant provides transportation when needed, provides support to the Program Director as needed and implements resident activities on a daily basis.
Position Details:
Part-Time, either Saturdays and Sundays or Tuesdays and Thursdays
Full-Time, rotating weekends is required.
Qualifications
• A high school degree, additional college experience preferred but not required
• Experience in a senior living environment strongly preferred.
• Two years' experience in activities strongly preferred.
• Strong computer skills and general healthcare knowledge.
• Must have a clear and insurable driving record, current drivers license and willingness to drive a passenger van.
Areas of Primary Responsibility
• Assists the Resident Program team with planning, developing, and preparing a variety of exercises, social, recreational and educational events.
• Conducts all transportation as well as medical transportation for residents.
• Maintains knowledge of communities, services, and events in the area and incorporates into activity schedule as appropriate.
• Establishes a warm and welcoming atmosphere for residents and staff.
• Promotes teamwork and positive attitude among the staff and monitors/attends activities with other disciplines as necessary.

• Keep all housekeeping equipment, storage areas, janitor's closets, and housekeeping carts clean and uncluttered, and free of any hazardous equipment and supplies, etc.
• Respond to residents' needs as requested.
• Launder community linens as needed.
• Inform Executive Director or designee of all supply needs in a timely manner.
• Report all accidents/ incidents to the Executive Director on the day of occurrence, along with important resident observations.
• Ensure that cleaning schedules are followed as closely as possible.
• Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to ensure resident rights are protected; honor residents' personal property rights.

• Maintains the heating and cooling systems in proper working conditions, as specified by the manufacturer. Prior to the onset of seasonal changes, inspects the systems for loose wires, broken lines, leaks, etc., and pre-starts system to ensure proper working order.

Job Duties
