JOB REQUIREMENTS:
To qualify for the Therapist/Counselor position, you must have,
MSW, LSW, LISW, MFT, LPC, or LPCC required.
Ability to make safe judgment calls in client care
Demonstration of group facilitation skills, knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis and treatments.
An understanding of the 12-step recovery process preferred.
Handle with Care (HWC) training and Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire or within 30 days of hire.
At least one year of experience in a mental/behavioral health and/or Recovery Center preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
As Therapist/Counselor, you will:
Assume primary responsibility for assigned client caseload.
Provide individual/group therapy for clients seeking mental health and/or substance use treatment and document the process in the client record.
Facilitate evidence-based interventions to clients in individual, group, and family sessions.
Ensure that all documentation regarding client care, treatment, and incidents is done in a clear, concise, professional, and timely manner.
Act as liaison between referral sources and clients.
Conduct family interview and provide for referral to appropriate resources.
Provide crisis intervention to clients as needed.
Plan aftercare for assigned clients to include case management.
Act as liaison with insurance carriers as requested and assist with EAP referral activities.
Complete Bio-Psychosocials, Treatment Plans, integrated summaries, and discharge summaries within specified timelines as per policy. Conduct weekly treatment plan reviews and update treatment plans.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:
This position provides direct care services to clients with mental health crisis needs. These services are provided through individual, group and family therapy, through the diagnostic assessment process or through individual community based rehabilitative services and/or group rehabilitative services including linkage and advocacy as necessary. Provides restorative interventions and training to improve interpersonal, community integration and independent living skills when the mental illness impacts the client's ability to function in and adapt to home, school, work and community settings.
Makes referrals, both internally and externally, according to the ITP and monitors outcome.
Monitors and records symptoms of decompensation. Reports symptoms to client's provider.
Coordinates with other service providers and follows through with client needs.
