This position will be working remotely with PAARIs administrative team on all social media and data. The Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative (PAARI) was founded alongside the Gloucester Police Department Angel Initiative in June 2015 and has grown into a movement of more than 700 law enforcement partners in 34 states. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) estimates that there were an estimated 100,306 deaths from drug overdoses in the United States from May 2020- May 2021. Law enforcement officers have a front row seat to the opioid epidemic and a growing number of police departments are motivated to adopt non-arrest programs that connect individuals with substance use disorders to treatment. Members of our National Recovery Corps will strengthen the ability of partnering law enforcement agencies to increase access to care and address addiction and poverty through non-arrest approaches. This program will place VISTAs in police departments to help build, strengthen, and sustain police-led programs to reduce and prevent overdose deaths and help more people with opioid use disorder get into treatment and recovery. Member Duties : Perform a scan of the PAARI's current fundraising, marketing, program evaluation, and event systems. Determine which there is the greatest need and opportunity in relation to fundraising, marketing, program evaluation, and events Research and create a report on relevant addiction and recovery funding and marketing trends and opportunities for police-assisted addiction and recovery programs Develop a written resource development plan to apply the scan, report, and resource development plan to utilize the resources needed to carry out and expand PAARI programs, focusing on fundraising, marketing, program evaluation, and events. This will allow PAARI to expand its reach and impact nationwide, allowing us to serve more departments and expand the nationwide movement to create non-arrest pathways to treatment and recovery as well as program sustainability.

Job DescriptionThe Alliance Language Network (ALN) was established in 1996 with the aim of serving the needs of Harris County’s LEP and non-English speaking residents. Our ALN team works with over 200 independently-contracted interpreters to provide interpreter services for clients in the areas of education, health care, and legal services. The ALN Communications Coordinator works with the ALN Director to maximize revenue opportunities and build positive relationships with customers. It is essential for the Communications Coordinator to develop relationships with customers to ensure that their requirements are met, and that projects deliver on time, within budget, and to acceptable standards. This position will assist with the scheduling and completion of customers’ projects by performing the following duties: · Develop and implement the program marketing strategy and build awareness for the Alliance Language Network through branded materials, website, social media, brochures, etc. · Collaborate with the ALN team to oversee a variety of strategies designed to enhance the department’s visibility and social enterprise brand. · Identify new business opportunities, represent ALN at community events, and conduct visits to current and prospective customers.
Manage vendor account to ensure customer satisfaction on output quality and project completion schedule.
Review incoming customer invoices and other job-related expenses to assure accuracy. Communicates with customers regarding project status and any project related issues (ex. questions from interpreters, etc.) Implement program activities as needed: providing quotes, appointment scheduling, invoicing, and updating interpreter files and client information.
