SUMMARY

Your Opportunity as a Marketing Intern
As an intern within our Marketing department, you will evaluate data and business trends and communicate those insights to the core business team. You will execute specifically requested analyses via syndicated data (Circana & Internal Sales systems) and provide the “story,” not just the data, to managers and supervisors. You will also complete an in-depth study of an industry topic, and present out to the broader organization, leaning on strong data points to deliver a recommendation/path forward.

In this role you will have the opportunity to be on one of the teams below:
Brand Marketing
Work directly on JMS brands to execute projects and develop the long-term trajectory of the brand.
Balance the analytical analysis of the business with creative growth strategies by leveraging all different marketing tactics.
Brand Experience
Partner with our internal center of excellence and Brand Marketing teams as well as external agency partners to deliver consumer engagement programs utilizing data, content, technology, creative and media strategies.
Work to provide input into critical campaign briefs, integrated experience mapping, and related tactical plans/deployment.
Creative Content Management
Coordinate the production of various creative content (including in-store tactics, digital content and digital advertising) across Smucker's portfolio of brands in partnership with the Brand Experience teams, collaborating directly with our in-house creative team of designers, writers and other specialists.
Creative project management inclusive of project intake and setup, defining timelines and ensuring the successful completion of projects through the established creative workflows.
Innovation
Lean in on consumer trends to create the next new item in our portfolio that will drive growth for both JMS and the categories we play in.
You will start from a concept and work across teams to bring the item to life, all while keeping the consumer at the core of the proposition & brand's long term strategy top of mind.
Integrated Media
Help plan and build media strategies, utilizing data, technology, and knowledge of the modern media landscape.
Collaborate across the marketing and brand teams to bring to life and realize our business and communication goals.
Category Strategy
Leverage data to be a strong partner to both the brand and customer teams, as you create actionable insights to deliver category growth.
Focus on data and creative solutions to ensure that the categories JMS plays in drive success.

Away from Home Marketing
Assist in refining our Cold Coffee Liquid Coffee Program featuring Café Bustelo
Evaluate current placements through customer feedback - focusing on metrics around profitability, customer satisfaction, ease of operation, brand relevance/impact
Identify merchandising gaps and opportunities
Identify any product gaps or opportunities
What we are looking for:
Rising Junior or Senior standing in school with requisite educational experience in Marketing, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Category Leadership, or another related field
