The primary responsibility of this internship will focus on gaining hands-on experience in the motorsports industry through various Communications and Social Media projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist Senior Communications Manager with:
Planning, preparation and execution of press conferences and media events
Organization of the Media Center before and after events
Development, editing and proofing of press releases, website copy and media guides
Special projects and promotions developed by the Communications Department
Helping to maintain current media contact list
Updating and posting to the speedway website
Track metrics for website using different analytic tools
Assist Social and Digital Content Manager with:
Daily content creation, production and scheduling on Facebook, X, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat
Monitor and respond to fan engagement and questions across social channels
Updating and posting to the speedway social media accounts
Track metrics for social and mobile app using different analytic tools
Generate social reports and analyze what is and is not working
Coordination of content with NASCAR, drivers, teams, dignitaries and influencers

As a multi-jurisdictional, 24-hour, year-round emergency and non-emergency and state-designated 911 emergency communications center, answers and screens incoming telephone calls from victims, witnesses, suspects, staff, students, parents, members of the public, local law enforcement agencies, and other government and non-government entities. Evaluates phone calls in a timely manner, accurately questioning callers to elicit information necessary to establish the location, nature, degree of severity, priority, and any responder safety risks. Ability to manage stressful situations and maintain composure under pressure, and effectively communicating and ability to de-escalate tense situations. Experience in problem-solving under pressure, utilizing strong analytical and decision-making skills. Respond to phone, text, e-mail, and walk-in requests from the public and serve as a resource to the public for community services and referrals. Operate multi-channel two-way radio consoles to both monitor and facilitate communications between law enforcement, campus service/security officers, fire, medical, emergency management, parking and transportation services, and USNH institutions. Prepare and send emergency notifications to the campus communities regarding Clery's reportable crimes, in-progress threats, and severe impending weather, traffic advisories, or any other hazardous situation. Confidentially handles sensitive and legally protected information. Queries National Crime Information Center (NCIC), Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (NLETS) and other local, state, and national computer databases to determine the status of vehicles, persons, and property, and determine the existence of wants and warrants; accesses computer systems to provide information to and request information from other agencies. Validates criminal history, warrant, and article entries of colleagues in accordance with Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) security policy. Accurately track, monitor, and document sworn and civilian personnel movement, activities, and status in the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) software. Performs informational searches in the public safety CAD system and other public safety-sensitive, PII sensitive, and public databases upon request. Access to these systems requires trainings and certifications, as well as continuing education and testing to maintain certifications. (20%)
Facilitate and document non-emergency requests for assistance from the public. Maintain up-to-date information regarding campus and non-campus events that may impact resources, traffic, and/or normal activity. This position will have direct external customer contact and must have a working knowledge of the key documentation elements and legal structures of these complex lending relationships. In coordination with other teams, ensure the repayment and collectability of Association assets through the correct development, review and implementation of credit agreements, lending agreements, mortgage filings, UCC filings, and other lending and collateral documents. Manage the title policy process to ensure exceptions are addressed and appropriate endorsements are obtained, including monitoring of construction loans. Coordinate with internal teams and the loan accounting team to ensure accuracy of the booking sheet.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead loan closing function for assigned loans, which includes all non-credit issues from the point of loan approval through loan closing including preparation of legal documentation for originated loans ensuring all legal, credit, collateral, and regulatory requirements are included in the documentation. This will include a wide variety of complex real estate and commercial documents and contracts, leases, assignments, easement agreements, title reports, appraisals, surveys, mortgage loan documentation and filings, UCC filings, entity formation documentation, partnership agreements and other real estate transaction documentation. Ensure all security documents are provided to Collateral Analysts for perfection.
Portfolio consists of multi-state, multi-entity, loans. Closing Specialist will work with Association's loan customers that may have loan exposures between $10MM and $100MM. This process requires ownership of the closing process including close coordination and communication with the primary industry team (Relationship Manager/Lender, Account Management, and Credit Analyst) as well as in-house Legal Counsel, and outside vendors
Coordinate with loan accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate booking of loans within the appropriate accounting systems
Manage title company process including reviewing, analyzing title documents and encumbrances, surveys and parcel maps, leases, and purchase agreements. Communicate with the borrower to see that all title requirements are met at closing. Collateral may involve real estate in multiple counties and states.
Certification of all required documents establishing the power, authority, and existence of all obligors, guarantors, etc. is obtained and is retained appropriately in company records
Coordinate the post-closing Legal Review of all transactions meeting the Association's criteria for independent review by an attorney on the Legal Team. Coordinate any curative actions required by the independent Legal Review
Review, monitor and track construction loan progress ensuring inspections are tracked and completed, copies of all applicable documents (i.e. contracts, permits, plans, specs, maps, etc.) are obtained and approved construction costs are not exceeded. This may involve working with title companies for date down endorsements
Education Requirements
Bachelors degree in Business, Business Law, a Paralegal Program is preferred.
Years of Experience
2 + years of experience in Commercial real estate lending environment in a financial institution, loan closing and documentation function in a law firm, and/or experience in a title company closing commercial real estate loans.
Certification and Technical Requirements
All hires must have the ability to complete Loan Closing Certification as provided by internal legal team within 12 months of starting in this role.
