**The Opportunity**
Abt Global seeks bright, talented, and intellectually curious students to participate in our summer Abternship. As a paid Internal Strategic Communications Specialist intern in the Internal Communications Department, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience while being immersed into Abt's organizational culture. Interns will learn from some of the top experts in their respective fields while experiencing events/programs that are useful in any professional setting. Our programs will consist of a robust and structured curriculum that encompasses professional development opportunities, networking events, and a mentorship program. Interns can be remote, hybrid, or in person and can be located anywhere in the United States.
The Summer Internship Program at Abt Global is 10 weeks, beginning June 1, 2026, through August 7, 2026. Interns must be able to work full time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the program. You must participate in programming/seminars/meetings scheduled throughout the Abternship.

Key Responsibilities

**About the Team:**
The Consumer Marketing Retention Team is responsible for leading strategies and programs that keep existing patients engaged, satisfied, and loyal to the brand-including customer lifecycle marketing via email and SMS channels, ecommerce web properties and owned content strategy.
**About the Internship Program:**
Our internship program will offer valuable hands-on experience in an innovative environment through a real capstone project. We need six highly motivated individuals to help contribute to Labcorp's capstone project through our Marketing Centers of Excellence such as developing and analyzing research, digital automation, design, marketing campaigns and more.
The internship program is designed to provide practical experience, development and refine valuable skills using industry-standard tools and techniques. The program will be structured around a set of key project milestones and deliverables, providing a framework to gain project management experience and contribute meaningfully in Labcorp's mission to improve health and improve lives.
Beyond the project work, the internship will also include multiple fireside chats with the Marketing Leadership team providing plenty of networking opportunities.

Description and Responsibilities:
Each intern will be assigned to one of our 16 franchises (across four states) and be responsible for posting to the league's SnapChat and Instagram accounts for each home game. They will also be asked to collect video, pictures and more of the players for our media database. Their work will be featured in articles as well as the league's Around the CPL weekly show.
Interns will have the opportunity to pitch their own story ideas, whether print or digital based, throughout the summer as well as taking part in league wide video initiatives (i.e. Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Father's Day, etc.)
Overall we feel this internship offers students the rare opportunity to build their portfolio in an impactful manner. It also allows them to be apart of the most entertaining league in the country - no pressure.
(Travel to road games is NOT required. Working all home games is a MUST)
Compensation: Meal stipend for each home game worked. Local housing where available for interns outside of the team's geographic footprint.
Credit: College credit towards a major, minor, or general elective is welcomed.
