Job Description:

SpartanNash is seeking a Communications Specialist who will act as a brand journalist, sharing rich stories its various audiences, including Associates, B2B customers and B2C store guests. The ideal candidate will be a skilled writer and oral communicator who can craft stories that inspire, inform and captivate these key audiences. The Communications Specialist will deliver against brand strategy and ensure continuity across the company's messaging.

Write for a variety of channels, including but not limited to: the company news app and intranet, press releases, media pitches, memos, PowerPoint presentations, advertisements, social media, emails, event collateral, video scripts and more.Operationalize key business updates, tailored by audience, so that news is understood and acted on throughout the organization.Develop content for internal break room TVs, ensuring messaging is timely, relevant and localized.Help plan and execute company events, such as CEO town halls.Provide support for the communication materials surrounding employment branding.Ensure communication materials are consistent with the master brand architecture and positioning.Stay up to date with the latest trends in communications, the CPG and dairy industries to keep SpartanNash on the cutting edge of innovation with new story ideas.Foster strong working relationships across the company, collaborating with the executive team, merchandising, marketing, sales, supply chain, communications and agency partners to ensure Communications supports business objectives and is on brand.Seek internal alignment and approvals that meet/exceed deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:
Create content for our internal communications board, including authoring profiles of our engineering interns and their project work.
