The Mechanical Component Specialist - Analyst position is based out of our Quad Cities Generating Station in Cordova, IL.

Mid-level: $ 86,000 - $ 106,000

Primary Purpose of Position
Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations while acting as a resource and technical expert to engineers. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement and as a subject matter expert when consulted to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
Directly fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs that impact site operations
Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision applying engineering principles.
Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications.
Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
Recommends equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.

The Unified Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing the 24x7 telecommunications and unified communications operations of our client's enterprise, including voice, instant messaging, video and voice conferencing, and call center systems. The Manager sets policy and defines processes for the unified communications, infrastructure, and wiring teams, and ensures compliance with those standards. The role includes operational oversight of more than 7,000 voice lines, 3,700 voice mailboxes, and all related services to approximately 8,000 users across 150+ locations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the unifiedc ommunications and wiring teams to support the IT operations environment.
Serve as the escalation point for problem,incident, request, and resolution activities related to telecommunications and wiring.
Manage vendor relationships, including reviewing and approving quotes,scopes of work, contracts, and invoices; collaborate with vendors and departments to resolve operational issues and ensure timely maintenance, repair, and installation of communications systems.
Monitor and report on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for unified communications and wiring services.

Interpret and analyse OTDR trace diagrams and return time calculations for troubleshooting.

Qualifications
Required Years of Experience: (7) Mid Tier Application Development
Candidate must have deep experience designing & developing Middle Tier .Net applications while maintaining a positive influence in the face of stringent and accelerated deadlines.
Design & development experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, ASP.Net MVP, Java Script, J-Query, Java Script Plug ins, WCF (Windows Communication Foundation)
Web service designs using Microsoft .NET System integration
Middle Tier design experience
Experience creating re-usable, common code modules
Requirements management (design, code, test phases)
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage scope to defined requirements
Issue and risk management experience
