Oral Roberts University is a member of NCAA Division I Athletics participating in the Summit League Primary Function and Relationship to Total Organization: Leadership, management, growth, and supervision of ORU Athletic development, athletic ticket sales, and the Golden Eagle Club fundraising arm while assisting the Athletic Director in strategic planning, initiatives, strategic plan execution, and overall direction of the department. Supervises: * Sr. Assoc. Athletic Director/Major Gifts * Sr. Assoc Athletic Director/Major Gifts * Executive Director of the Golden Eagle Club * General Manager ORU Sports Properties * Director of Donor Relations * Director of Ticket Sales * Director of Development * Potential Sport Programs Duties and Responsibilities: * Lead overall development and revenue generation efforts for ORU Athletics * Assist in the development and implementation of the ORU Athletic external operations plan * Implement the strategic planning of the annual fund with respect to the Golden Eagle Club priorities and budget: * i.e. membership, Golden Eagle Scholarship Fund, Champions Fund, Major gifts, board development, marketing, seat licenses, ticket sales, varsity club, sponsorships, and overall budget * Supervise development staff, set objectives, and manage the external scorecard/goals for department and individual staff members * Facilitate fundraising events Courtside Countdown, Diamond Dinner, Bracketology Breakfast, Golf Classic, and Golf Marathon * Lead planning of ORU Athletic Hall of Fame events and Varsity Club (Letterwinners) activities and recruitment * Coordinate with Golden Eagle Club board members to recruit, cultivate, and identify new members, donors, and volunteers to fill various roles/committee chairs. * Supervise athletic ticket sales, staff, and operations. * Lead premium seating development and sales * i.e. basketball suites/courtside seats and baseball boxes/club level * Coordinate with Mabee Center staff on fundraising and ticket sales objectives and duties * Assist Athletic Director with major athletic project funding, design, and planning * Assist and help lead ORU Athletic NIL efforts * Collaborate with University offices and community agencies to effectively manage assigned functions * Supervise staff and student employees and resolve any personnel and operational issues * Provide direct supervision of assigned sports teams and ensure fiscal soundness and compliance with applicable NCAA, Conference, University, and departmental rules and regulations * Take an active interest in public relations activities to include conducting media interviews, attending press conferences and making public appearances. Attend required University and Athletic Department functions. Speak at civic groups as required * Serves on Athletic Directors senior staff and executive staff * Serve on potential Summit League Committees * Perform additional duties as assigned by Athletic Director or President * Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of and adhere to applicable NCAA, Conference, University, and departmental rules and regulations. Upon notification of any NCAA violation, report the violation to the Athletic Director, Deputy Athletic Director for Internal Operations, and the senior compliance coordinator and follow applicable procedures for reporting and investigating violations with the NCAA. Education: * Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent knowledge and experience. Experience/Skills: * Five to eight years of related experience is preferred. * Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point is preferred. * Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. * Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. * Ability to make independent decisions and judgments on administrative and procedural issues. * Ability to analyze facts to determine actions to be taken within the limits of standard practice. Hours: * Work schedule varies, depending on athletic event days and times. Travel: * Some local, regional and national travel is required.
