Community Care of Rutherford County company history timeline
On April 2, 1901, a committee was appointed to build a pest house.
“A gentleman came in the facility,” Community Care Administrator Mark King explained about that fateful meeting. “He said his dad had brought him and his sister here in 1935.”
Community Care of Rutherford County was established in 1987, new additions have been built.

After the major renovation in 1996 of the Rutherford County Courthouse, these records acquired a permanent home on the third floor.
In 2006, Rutherford County proved it's commitment to preserving the records of county government by building a new $1.3 million dollar archives facility.
