JOB TITLE: Per Diem Teaching Assistant Must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or equivalent. ______________________________________________________________________ DEPARTMENT: Education SUPERVISED BY: Special Education Teacher JOB SUMMARY: The Teaching Assistant is responsible for providing support with educational lessons and activities to teachers in a classroom setting. Ability to work cooperatively with all disciplines directly related to the day to day function of the school. Responsible for the general housekeeping of the classroom. Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation. Drive transportation route - picking up and dropping off student passengers at established stops. Supervise students in route to and from school. Provide support and guidance to any student requiring behavioral management. Clean van as necessary to maintain a professional appearance and positive agency image. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be over the age of 18. Bachelor's in Human Services or related field preferred.
