Position Overview As a Warehouse Attendant, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory. You will handle various warehouse operations, including receiving, checking, storing, counting, and distributing stock items according to established procedures. Our Warehouse Attendants are vital members of the team who help deliver great-tasting Community Coffee to our loyal customers every day. Key Responsibilities Read load reservations and order requests to determine stock to be pulled. Load and unload items from trucks, conveyors, and other equipment. Transport products between receiving, storage, and shipping areas. Assemble customer and sales orders from on-hand inventory. Audit picked orders for accuracy and report discrepancies. Stack and arrange products on pallets. Assist internal teams in loading sales trucks. Conduct inventory cycle counts (weekly/monthly) across warehouse and company vehicles. Move and reallocate inventory within the warehouse as needed. Rotate stock using Julian dates or FIFO (First In, First Out) methodology. Verify incoming product against receiving documents (UPC, quantity, and condition). Report receiving discrepancies to supervisor. Operate company vehicle to pick up and deliver inventory from outside vendors (as required). Maintain lawn and landscaping around the warehouse (as required). Perform equipment inspections (forklift, pallet jack) before shifts if required. Replenish stock while keeping the warehouse clean and organized. Perform minor equipment cleaning and repairs as needed. Operate forklifts and manual/electric pallet jacks (as required). Maintain warehouse organization in line with WMS picking/put-away strategies. Execute daily receiving and shipping tasks per published load schedules. Use handheld WMS devices and computers for inventory tracking and movement. May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary. Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Passing score on aptitude test required in lieu of high school diploma or equivalent. 1 year of related experience preferred. Valid driver's license or government-issued ID. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedures, and manuals. Competency in using forklifts, hoists, and hand/power tools. Understanding mechanical and industrial terminology. Knowledge of CFR 110, good manufacturing practices, and AIB food safety standards. Experience with SAP S/4HANA or other Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred. Successful completion of a pre-employment physical. Communicate effectively using a positive tone; keep team members informed through tools such as pre-shift meetings, store meetings, Latte News postings, and training materials. Deliver outstanding guest experiences and ensure team members do the same by greeting guests warmly, engaging with sincerity, providing product knowledge, recommending/upselling products, and demonstrating brewing equipment when appropriate. Maintain superior product quality by preparing beverages, pastries, and other menu items according to company recipes, procedures, and standards. Supervise guest service and resolve complaints or concerns promptly and effectively. Partner with the General Manager to create and execute Local Store Marketing initiatives and implement company promotional campaigns. Perform opening and closing duties, including securing the premises per company policy. Manage cash handling and security during shifts, including till counts, reconciliations, deposits, and changing orders in compliance with company cash procedures. Direct team members in maintaining store cleanliness, organization, and equipment standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Submit repair/maintenance work orders as needed. Conduct inventory counts, place and receive orders, rotate stock, merchandise displays, and ensure proper product presentation. Follow incident reporting policies in cases of guest or team member safety/security issues. Provide recommendations for hiring, promotion, and termination decisions; recommendations will be given weight. Manage shifts independently when required, making staffing and operational decisions to support business needs. Transport deposits to and from the bank, if necessary, in compliance with cash handling policy. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Resolve problems related to guest service, staffing, systems, inventory, and ordering. Supervise team members in collaboration with the General Manager. Communicate issues to the General Manager with suggested solutions and ensure appropriate follow-up occurs. Support the General Manager with daily operations such as accounting, inventory, banking, marketing, and other business-building activities. Supporting succession planning by identifying and developing high-potential team members. Serving as acting General Manager in the GM's absence. Modeling CC's values and fostering a positive, inclusive team environment. QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of one (1) year of related supervisory experience in food service, retail, or hospitality; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Strong communication skills: ability to prepare reports, write correspondence, and speak effectively before groups of team members or guests. REQUIREMENTS Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and have flexible availability, including weekends and varied shifts. Must possess a current, valid driver's license and maintain proper automobile insurance when driving for company business. Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up-to 40 lbs. as part of daily store operations. SERV Safe Food Manager Certification (or equivalent nationally recognized food safety certification) preferred.
