1988 Anawan Associates merges with Central City in Taunton to form Community Counseling of Bristol County with offices in Taunton and Rehoboth.
BSCS was formed in 1991 through a merger of five community-based agencies that had an extensive history (over 100 years) of providing innovative, responsive, and accessible programming to the communities of Southeastern Massachusetts.
1991 Emergency Psychiatry Services established to provide 24 hour emergency services.
1993 Merger BSCS’ Main office:15 Cottage Avenue in Quincy Domestic Violence Program Education Coordination (Coastal) Family Stabilization Team (Coastal & Plymouth) Lead Agency (Plymouth) Outpatient Clinic
1995 Merger with Quincy Medical Center Anger Management Programs for Youth and Adults Fiscal sponsor for Blue Hills Community Health Network Alliance (CHNA 20) Intensive Recovery Substance Abuse -Adult Program
1996 CCBC expands outpatient services to 68 Church Green in Taunton.
1997 CCBC starts Community Support Program under contract with Medicaid managed behavioral health providers.
1998 Robert Smith House opened to provide treatment and housing for men in early recovery from addiction.
2000 CCBC and the Greater Taunton Council on Alcoholism merged to improve care for those with addictive disorders.
2001 Bridge House opened with support from fed.
2003 Drug Free Community Intensive Recovery Substance Abuse -Adolescent Program Relocation of Main Office MassCall 2
2003 DMH awarded CCBC the first PACT (Program for Assertive Community Treatment) contract in SE Masachusetts.
2005 Separated from Quincy Medical Center Established Community Board of Directors Wraparound Programs (Coastal & Plymouth) Outreach and Prevention Grant
2005 CCBC consolidated its previous program sites into our new location at Mill River Place.
2006 To increase affordable housing in the community and support growth, CCBC forms: CCBC Housing Dev.
2007 Executive Office of Elder Affairs awarded CCBC the Elder Mobile Treatment Team contract.
2008 CCBC awarded contract to develop Recovery Learning Community in SE Mass to provide clients support from peers with lived experience with mental illness and recovery.
2009 DMH awarded the Community Based Flexible Support contracts to CCBC for both the Taunton and Attleboro communities.
2010 Narcan: Opioid Overdose Reversal Program Plymouth Resource Center Contract Renewed Youth Resident Joint Procurement – Caring Together
