VISTA Assignment Objectives and Member Activities
Goal of the Project: The Up2Us Sports VISTA project builds the capacity of host-site organizations working to end the cycle of poverty through intentional youth sports and education programming. The Up2Us Sports VISTA placed at Citizens of the World - West Valley will increase volunteer engagement, drive fundraising initiatives, and create an all encompassing marketing strategy. This will result in an increase of scale and reach for our small organization. Objective of the Assignment (Period of Performance: August 202 2-June 2023) Increase Volunteerism by 15% through targeted outreach and intentional clearance systems Member Activity: Our VISTA will streamline the volunteer clearance system to ensure a fast turnaround from the time one expresses interest in volunteering to the time they start (goal: under two weeks). Member Activity: Our VISTA will identify any hurdles that may be standing in the way of new volunteers starting and come up with a plan to include all (ie. single parents, etc) Member Activity: Our VISTA will create a complex calendar of volunteer events and identify gaps. Objective of the Assignment (Period of Performance: August 202 2-June 2023) Implement precise marketing plan for the school year that will result in an increase of enrollment by 10% Member Activity: Our VISTA will create a calendar of marketing for the 22/23 school year using google sheets and google calendar, based on our community calendar.
