ABOUT THE ROLE:
Organizes and files patient's medical records including charts and reports in order to compile documentation of conditions and treatments. Assist with departmental audits and research, releases information to persons and agencies according to regulations.
FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
Processes and forwards patient and physician record request following HIPAA and Community Health regulations.

The Care Manager supports patients transitioning between healthcare practitioners, inpatient, and outpatient venues (including visiting nurses) and home settings. ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Certified Optical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the optical team and delivering exceptional patient care. This position involves assisting with various tasks, including patient interaction, optical measurements, eyewear dispensing, and pre-exam testing. The Certified Optical Assistant helps patients navigate frame and lens selection, provides education on eyewear options, and ensures a seamless experience from start to finish. With expertise in optical products and strong customer service skills, the ideal candidate will contribute to the overall success of the practice by ensuring patient satisfaction, accurate record-keeping, and efficient operations. This role requires certification and a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
Greet and assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on prescription, style preferences, and budget.
Educate patients on different lens options, coatings, and frame materials to help them make informed decisions.
Provide guidance on proper eyewear care, maintenance, and cleaning.
Perform routine pre-examination tests, such as visual acuity, visual fields, pupil distance, GDx and refraction measurements.
Accurately record and document patient medical history, optical prescriptions, and test results.
Ensure patient data is properly entered into the system for seamless follow-up.
Assist with fitting, adjusting, and ensuring proper alignment of eyeglasses for comfort and functionality.
Make necessary adjustments to frames and lenses to achieve the best fit and appearance for each patient.
Teach patients how to use contact lenses.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of optical products, including frames, lenses, and lens coatings.
Monitor inventory levels, track product usage, and help with ordering new stock as needed.
Assist with patient check-in/check-out procedures, including verifying insurance information and processing payments.
Schedule patient appointments and follow up with reminders for eyewear orders or follow-up visits.
Maintain accurate patient records, including orders for eyewear, adjustments, and prescription updates.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction.
Follow up with patients regarding eyewear orders, delivery status, and any necessary adjustments after purchase.
Ensure all patient interactions and optical practices comply with healthcare regulations and company policies.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety standards in the optical setting.
SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS:
Highschool Diploma
Be Certified or willing to become certified in designated timeline upon hire
1-2 years of experience in optical or healthcare setting

Assists in the delivery of health care and patient care management by performing radiological examinations and other clinical support functions.
FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
* Ensures operation and radiology equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirement, trouble-shooting malfunctions, maintaining equipment, inventories, calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
* Maintains radiology supplies by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies and verifying receipt of supplies.
* Prepares patients for radiologic procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specific position and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
* Maintains production and quality of x-ray films by following established standards and procedures, developing and observing film results and making necessary adjustments.
* Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries.
* Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patient questions and maintaining the reception area.
* Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS:
* High School Diploma or equivalent required; Prior healthcare experience strongly preferred; Medical Assistant experience preferred.
* Completion of education in radiological technology approved by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists and currently licensed in the State of Vermont.
