This role is responsible for answering telephones, scheduling appointments for colonoscopies for patients with colon/rectal need concerns, coordinating referrals, and checking insurance eligibility. This position utilizes our electronic medical record system to verify and update patient demographic information. Exceptional Skills and Qualifications Applicants for this position must have strong listening and communication skills and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The applicant must be able to multi-task, have attention to detail, strong organization skills, and be a team player. Applicants must demonstrate good judgement for maintaining confidentiality. High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment or a minimum of 2 years of customer service experience. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Experience with electronic medical records is preferred. Strong computer skills including experience with Intranet and Internet usage, Excel, Word, email, and web-based applications.
