The Interventional Radiology Technologist performs advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures and peripheral vascular procedures. Interventional Radiology Technologists are responsible for scrubbing, monitoring, and assisting providers as requested. Technologists respond with the team to patient distress situations and assist with equipment quality control and inventory management.
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
* Prepares patient and equipment for interventional lab procedures by preparing site of entry, - draping patient, arranging sterilized instruments and catheters, and calibrating and setting up pressure transducers and tubing.
* Attends to patient needs during interventional lab procedures.
* Scrubs during procedure, as applicable. Assists the physician in maneuvering catheters.
* Monitors and records hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data by operating - hemodynamic and electrical amplifiers and digital and line fluoroscopic equipment.
* Effectively communicates with members of the care team to deliver high quality, patient centered care
* Collaborate on the first Siemens Nexaris IR/CT combo in the state of Indiana.
* Willing to cross-train from other Imaging modalities.
* Education: Associate degree in Radiology or Completion of certification program in Radiography
* License: Required: Current ARRT (R) and current license as a Radiologic Technologist by the State of Indiana

The Interventional Radiology Technologist will perform diagnostic angiographic procedures and complete complex vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures exams on inpatient, outpatient and emergency department patients.
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
· Assist radiologist and/or other physician with procedures and “scrubbing in” as necessary
· Perform each exam using proper technical and positioning factors in accordance to the protocol manual
· Monitor patient condition and evaluate exam for quality and completeness
· Set up and maintain sterile tray
· Operate all imaging and processing equipment using proper technique.
· Utilize all EMR features and document\: complete and accurate patient history, document any additional patient information in RIS for the radiologists' review
· Has knowledge and skills to give care to all age groups. This includes\: Involving parents when appropriate, Utilizing radiation protection when appropriate and Using additional personnel when appropriate
· Ensure that all exam information is correct, complete, and recorded, including supplies
· Ensure all forms completed for invasive procedures
· Complete online risk events
· Supervise students by\: Ensuring that exam to be performed is within the student's capabilities, Providing students with direct supervision for all exams until competency is documented, Providing students with indirect supervision once exam competency is documented, Evaluating and approves all radiographic studies, and Completing student objective sheets and area evaluations

Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, performing exams with technical precision, and evaluating images for quality. Proficiency in using department equipment and maintaining patient safety is essential.
Your Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
* Graduate of an accredited imaging program preferred
* Licensed by the State of Indiana as a Radiology Technologist and certified as a Radiology Technologist with the ARRT
