Assesses the educational needs and competencies of cardiac sonographer staff and develops, schedules, coordinates, and conducts educational programming for new and existing staff. Oversees the Residency Program. Assists with and provides clinical supervision and evaluation of patient care related to echocardiography. Available to perform inpatient and/or outpatient cardiac ultrasound testing to include 2D echo / Doppler, stress exams, and transesophageal echocardiograms as well as other duties assigned by manager or director. Provides complex technical care with the use of ultrasound technology for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and provides all necessary documentation and preliminary exam findings. Must have excellent understanding of structural heart procedures as they relate to echocardiography. Must also have full understanding of the use of 3D cardiac ultrasound. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Oversee Residency Program a. Assists with activities related to echocardiography laboratory accreditation for Piedmont Healthcare hospitals to ensure compliance to IAC standards. b. Assists with monitoring and reporting on quality metrics identified by Piedmont Healthcare and associated with IAC standards. c. Compile physician and sonographer competency / registry and CME attendance records. d. Routinely review cardiac sonographer exams as part of a formal quality assurance program. 2. Training and Education a. Assess the educational needs and competencies of cardiac sonographer staff and interns and develop, schedule, coordinate, and conduct educational programming for new and existing staff to improve quality of care and reduce variation in workflow. b. Maintain an up to date knowledge of echocardiography trends and best practice and conduct, participate in, facilitate, and utilize research to foster evidence-based practice. c. Provide clinical supervision and evaluation of patient care related to echocardiography. d. Attend and participate in echocardiography leadership activities. e. Quality/Innovation on echo protocols, policies and procedures f. Maintain relationships with technical colleges and oversee student interns. 3. Clinical Support a. Perform patient evaluations including verifying patient identity, reviewing the medical record for orders and prior studies, and addressing patient questions and concerns. b. Perform echocardiograms including 2D / Doppler with and without contrast, dobutamine stress and exercise stress echo exams, and transesophogeal echocardiograms according to protocol. c. Complete appropriate documentation, post processing, and preliminary findings in the medical record and cardiovascular PACS system. d. Acquire and maintain training and competency in electronic health record system as required to perform duties. e. Maintain personal competency file if applicable. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Skill and competency in performing detailed cardiac ultrasound studies. Skill and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Proficient in Microsoft windows-based computer software. Experience with electronic health records and cardiovascular PACS systems. Ability to work as a member of a team. Demonstrated clinical expertise and interest and ability in providing education. Self-starter with outstanding organizational, analytical, and project management skills. Qualifications: MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of registry approved ultrasound college according to CAAHEP. A portfolio can range from one large account to multiple smaller account. These services can also vary based on the size and complexity of the account(s) within this portfolio however these are generally focused on our core services which include financial reporting, budget building/tracking, SOW builds/tracking and tracking, and assisting Portfolio Manager. Maintain CRM tool and client-specific tracker for each new hire/new project. • Guide internal teams through the engagement-specific onboarding process. • Place any required client email, laptop & equipment orders as soon as resource access is granted. • Maintain an asset tracker for any laptops ordered by SOW Managed Services (“SMS”) Team. • Walk new hires through any required laptop setup and required access specific to their team. • Walk new hires through any required training materials and ensure completion. • Assist PM with maintaining stakeholder registry and resource tracker on SharePoint. • Assist PM and Billing Team with any fixed fee auto-adjustments. • Assist PM, National Account Team, and Account Manager(s) with any QBRs as it relates to SMS data. • Assist PM with hosting recurring sync(s) with specific contractors/stakeholders. • Collect and document recurring reporting stats from team leads specific to SLAs. • Compile and provide reports to stakeholders on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis. • Investigate and resolve any timesheet discrepancies. • Assist PM with building/obtaining signatures for any required Milestone Completion Certificates. • Track, build, provide, and document any required reporting to clients (LOEs, Accruals, EOMs, burndowns, etc.). • Tracking terminated worker stats and providing updates to clients when requested. • Act as an extension of the Portfolio Manager and Account Managers, when needed. • Flex duties to other portfolios within SMS when necessary. i.e., large hiring groups. • Partner with PM and Pricing Team to assist with the weekly financial reporting. • Propose ideas and process templates for the overall SMS vision. • Assist with ETCs and contribute to internal QBR build and presentation. • Participate in training and development program(s) in order to increase delivery exposure and build leadership skills. • All other job duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree Minimum 2 years experience in a professional office environment Minimum 1 year experience with financial reporting Intermediate Excel skills
