Essential Functions
To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Install and/or Repair Dental Equipment:
Safely remove, modify, repair, and install various dental equipment under general supervision with the ability to work independently after training.
Follow checklists, ensuring all critical parts are examined.
Apply specific manufacturer and Patterson guidelines, OSHA and other applicable laws and regulations related to asepsis.
Perform other duties as assigned
Customer Service:
Demonstrates passion and a people-first approach by treating customers in a respectful and considerate manner. Builds and maintains customer relationships through follow-up and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude in trades such as carpentry, plumbing, heating, electronics or similar
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Requires basic computer skills and ability to use smart phone/tablet technologies
Inventory management including determining parts, supplies or tools needed to complete service requests and restocking vehicle as needed
Must maintain a quality driving record in accordance with Patterson's policies and represent Patterson Dental while driving a company vehicle
Preferred Qualifications
Trade school training in carpentry/plumbing/heating/electricity/electronics is highly desired
Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
Strong work ethic
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Teams is helpful
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated sense of urgency while following Patterson's business conduct and code of ethics and responsibilities

Physical Demands
Must be able to remain in a stationary or driving position up to 100% per day.
Must be able to lift boxes and dental supplies up to 1-25 pounds up to 75% per day.
Must position oneself to install/maintain dental equipment, including under equipment or cabinets up to 50% per day.
Must be able to reach at shoulder level and reach at waist level up to 25% per day.
Must be able to move or lift dental equipment and supplies weighing up 26-49 pounds up to 10% per day.
Must be able to move dental equipment weighing up to 50 pounds into place less than 5% per day.

Summary
Position Highlights:
The EnvironmentalServices Specialty Technician's primary responsibility is disinfecting
Specialty areas such as Infusion Pharmacy, Sterile Processing, Operating Rooms, Procedure Rooms, Cell Therapy. As part of the Spill Response Team, deactivates and decontaminates chemotherapy and other hazardous agent spills. Responsible for reducing the spread of bacteria and infection as well as providing an environment that appears clean, fresh, and polished. This position performs a variety of duties that support the department in maintaining a clean environment for patients and staff. This includes cleaning and disinfecting other areas as needed.
Responsibilities:
* Clean spills containing blood or other potentially infectious material using established infection control, safety, and ES departmental procedures.
* Occasionally may have to work at off-site locations.
* Follow departmental and other regulatory standards regarding all cleaning policies and procedures (using proper disinfectants, labeling chemical bottles, keeping an organized cart, etc.)
* Perform all essential functions following established safety and infection control requirements (perform hand hygiene, wear PPE, etc.)
* Safely uses, dilutes, and stores chemicals and cleaning materials.
* Complete working knowledge of different types of hazardous materials (chemotherapy, pharmaceutical, bio-hazardous, sharps, pathological, microbiological, and bodily fluids) and how to properly handle and dispose.
* Proper operation of cleaning equipment - Properly clean and disinfect all types of areas including clinical inpatient/outpatient (patient rooms, exam rooms, nurse stations, etc.), support/common areas, offices, labs, conference rooms, elevators, stairwells, corridors, external grounds, etc.
Credentials and Qualifications:
* No education required.
* Minimum two (2) years of Healthcare Janitorial / EnvironmentalServices experience, including 6 months applying proficient knowledge of a specialty area (for example, including terminal cleaners), Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Ability to communicate effectively in English, both oral/written form (for the safety of our patients and staff in an emergency situation).

Identifies medical waste from regular waste and disposes of the regular and medical waste in an appropriate manner following hospital regulations.
Hand hygiene must be performed before and after transport of a patient.

Responsibilities Essential Functions • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, using appropriate designated engagement techniques. • Responsible for the cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms and ancillary areas, to include, but notlimited to, bathrooms, public areas, corridors, medication storage rooms as directed and any other areas that may require attention using designated and appropriate chemicals and cleaning procedures. • Must have good working knowledge and be capable of accessing and using all department related technology systems, such as but not limited to, the Bed Management systems. • Replenishes supplies as needed, remove bio-medical waste, trash and soiled linen as required daily and changes cubicle/window curtains as needed. • Completes patient room and bathroom cleaning daily to accommodate discharges/admissions and overall cleanliness standards utilizing the approved proceduresfor patient room cleaning to include Bed Managementsystems where applicable. • Performs duties while demonstrating working knowledge ofthe health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements, proper and safe chemical use, equipment handling, and labor-saving products for all items within the healthcare environment for which tasked with servicing. • Adheres to all organization safety, risk management, and infection control guidelines and standards while promoting a culture of safety. • Operates UV disinfection machine as needed. • Actively participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives, including but not limited to initiatives to, improve Customer Experience and cleanliness metrics. • Follows all infection prevention practices including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) • Recognizes and adheres to patient privacy requirements (HIPAA) • Reports unsafe situations and turnsin Engineering Service Requestsforrepair. • Ability to communicate, read, and write in standard English asthisisthe main businesslanguage. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures Qualifications Experience No experience or lessthan 3 years exp. in Health care supportservices and/or environmentalservices, hospitality, or related field

Key Responsibilities
Clean and maintain all areas of the hospital and related buildings.
Collect and dispose of garbage safely and efficiently.
Collect, wash, dry, fold, and distribute hospital laundry.
Maintain floors by vacuuming, scrubbing, waxing, and shampooing using specialized equipment.
Clean and prepare patient rooms upon discharge.
Complete assigned duties with patient safety and infection control as top priorities.
