    Wages start at $18.40hr and increase with experience. This is a TPD (0.2 Status), day shift Medical Assistant position at the CPG Advanced Pain and Spine Institute. Major responsibility to assist the physicians and nurses with patients. This includes: greeting, escorting patients to the exam rooms, taking vitals, height, weight, histories, updating medication, developing and maintain patient education materials, preparing patient equipment and medication prescriptions for the Physician, telephone in prescription refills with Physician's approval, charting, preparing informed consent forms for invasive procedures, calling physician orders to other health provider agencies, i.e. home health, nursing home, therapists, securing x-ray films and preparing labs for the doctors, order clinical supplies, clean exam rooms, maintaining instruments, remove outdated medications, administering vaccination. This job will also entail occasionally filling in for patient access: checking in patients, answering the phone, filing and pulling charts. Minimum Required: * High School diploma or equivalent and advanced training to completion in a Medical Assistant program or certified nursing aide program. * One (1) to two (2) years of experience in medical field. * Medical Terminology. * BLS upon hire; Healthcare Provider BLS within three (3) months of hire. * Obtain RMA status within 18 months of hire. * Basic computer knowledge.
