Pros of working at Community Opportunities

The pros working for Community Opportunities would be the Staff who work directly with the clients. As well as the clients/residents themselves.

Cons of working at Community Opportunities

The Cons working with Community Opportunities would primarily be the senior management. He is a very untrustworthy and manipulative liar that will place blame on anyone other than himself. I was asked to lie about multiple things during my time there. He refuses to work with the staff and will do the minimal required to meet state regulations. His primary focus is himself and how his position grants him power over the residents and the staff.

Community Opportunities benefits

If the company had been managed by someone who cared for the welfare of the clients then the perk would have been knowing you were part of something that contributed to make life easier and happier for the disabled.

What do you like best about Community Opportunities's CEO and the leadership team?

There were nothing about the CEO that I liked. The rest of the management team seemed like they would prefer to do a better job than what the CEO allowed. I believe that if they had different leadership the company could become a benefit to the community. However, with the current CEO I would recommend that no one apply for a position or place there loved ones in the care of this company.

How would you improve Community Opportunities's culture?

Replace the CEO

How does your compensation at Community Opportunities compare to the industry average?

In my experience, it falls short at the Day Center where the residents spend their days Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm. They have no activities to occupy their time and the building itself echoes and intensifies sound. Therefore the combination of these two conditions the residents are agitated and bored resulting in long days and heightened agitation.

What's the diversity at Community Opportunities like?

The representation of diversity is acceptable. All ethnic groups and sexual orientation seem to be accepted within the staff and residents.
