Girl Scouts of Western Ohio has a great opportunity to join our organization as a Community Outreach Specialist! This part-time position is community-based and a great opportunity to engage our local community in all things Girl Scouts! We are seeking engaging individuals that are comfortable working in mostly urban, Title I communities to support all girls in the opportunity to participate in the Girl Scout Program through delivering the Girl Scout Leadership Experience! This is an ideal role for students, parents, or anyone looking to supplement their income who has a flexible schedule while gaining valuable experience.
This position will serve our Central region with service areas supporting the greater Dayton and Springfield area.
The Community Outreach Specialist leads local community and school-based education sessions to deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience with girls! Activities include leading and assisting volunteers and staff with episodic fun learning opportunities that will build empowered future women leaders! This role requires the ability to speak in public group settings at local schools and community centers, comfortably interact with both girls and caregivers and meet target outreach goals to ensure we have a diverse group of girls benefiting from our programs. Light technical skills are needed in order to communicate via email, edit documents and electronically complete and track membership registrations.
This is a part-time position worked between August - June and role offers up to 28 hours per week. Specialists may work a flexible schedule of weekday hours, Monday-Friday, between 9:00am-6:00pm; occasional weekend availability is a plus! The travel expectation is up to 50 miles using your personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.

Deliver high-quality Girl Scout series programs for youth in assigned Title One Schools/areas.
Cultivate and collaborate with assigned schools, community organizations and networks to increase visibility and opportunities for girls, support volunteers, and increase program and funding partnerships to meet council objectives.
Support community volunteers to assist in Girl Scout program delivery.
Monitor evaluation results and adjust program delivery as needed.

What You'll Do

Life Enrichment Coordinators are responsible for providing life enriching and engaging activities to our assisted living residents. Duties include but are not limited to:
Prepare the activity location, set-up and provide supplies; contribute to the development of activities. Clean-up after activity including returning room to original set-up.
Ability to read, comprehend, and effectively follow instructions provided by the Program Director.
Facilitate pleasant and safe activities; encourage participation.
Accompany residents on field trips. Drive when needed.
Submit new ideas to Program Director; assist in the preparation of community calendar.
Visit with residents, providing companionship, interaction and emotional support.
Confer with nurse regarding resident health status.
Assure safe and sanitary conditions related to activities.
Proficient in using a variety of technologies, including computers, iPads, and streaming services.

Under the direction of the Outdoor Experiences Manager of the Lorain County Metro Parks, the Outreach Coordinator:
1.) Is responsible for planning and facilitating a variety of educational and recreational programs, camps, and events, related to the natural and cultural history of Lorain County, geared toward targeted populations, including, but not limited to, at-risk youth, economically disadvantaged families, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
2.) Programs held at various on- and off-site locations. On-water includes the county's rivers, Lake Erie, and the Park District's indoor pool facilities.
3.) Is responsible for developing and staffing programs, as well as supervising seasonal, part-time employees, and volunteers.
4.) Acts as a liaison to groups that serve at-risk youth, underserved populations, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
5.) Serves as the point person and coordinator of all requested programs by local schools, senior centers, churches, organizations, etc.
6.) Facility set-up and maintenance are also required.

Requirements
Experience working with and supervising other staff and/or volunteers, and experience assisting with public inquiries is a must. Experience in public relations, customer service, administrative support, and scheduling events and/or staff is also necessary.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, talk, and hear; work with hands, lift; and drive park vehicles. Ross Medical Education is seeking a part time Assessment Coordinator to oversee and monitor exams to ensure a fair and secure testing environment for our nursing students.
The Coordinator will verify student identities, distribute and collect exam materials, enforce exam rules, and maintain a calm atmosphere. Coordinators also address any issues that may arise during the exam, such as technical difficulties or student
misconduct. Additional administrative tasks to support academics may also be required.
Job Summary
Set up exam room, distribute material, verify student identity and collect completed exams
Observe students during exams, must be present in room at all times during exams to observe and maintain a quiet environment
Enforce exam rules and policies
Address questions/concerns students may have regarding the exam procedures and handle any issues that arise
Coordinators maintain exam security by preventing unauthorized access to materials and preventing cheating
If students don't arrive on schedule, the coordinator may do administrative tasks to assist the Associate Director of Nursing, such as prepping student badges and materials, getting laptops ready for orientation, ordering supplies, and other student
facing tasks such as phone calls or emails sent to students.
