    The Opportunity: We are seeking to hire a Payee Associate. Under the general supervision of the Controller, this individual maintains the Representative Payeeship program record of accounts. Performs functions as they relate to client finances and related processes. What You'll Do: * Prepare and schedule monthly disbursements for all individual clients by verifying accuracy of amounts, validity of supporting documentation and vendors, against the monthly budgets and the availability of client funds. * Pay client utility bills and other bills as assigned. * Maintain excel spreadsheet(s) to reflect monthly expenditures that require payment using the accounting system. * Scan and maintain lease files with the most current address. Inform Accountant I of change of address so updates can be made in the accounting system. * Prepare and coordinate the designated transfers of funds to client's debit card accounts at multiple intervals. * Add and remove clients from the debit card program. * Prepare monthly reports through the automated system and/or Excel. * Maintain general ledger for all clients on program. * File materials and search files as necessary. Scan financial documents as needed. * Review Social Security forms for new clients on Payeeship for accuracy and comprehensiveness and add further information as required. * Review client's balances to Social Security established maximum. Coordinate efforts with CRS staff to utilize discretionary funds appropriately. * Train new CRS staff on Payeeship procedures. * Inform Social Security Administration of client activity such as going off Payeeship or in the case of a deceased client. * Prepare documentation and complete SSA forms to report annual expenditures and savings. * Go to Bank weekly to obtain cash for stipends and to replenish box. The Psychiatrist functions as liaison between CSS, the medical community and the State facilities: assists other clinical staff in developing individualized service plans for individuals served by the agency. These responsibilities are assigned as needed and only after adequate experience with the agency is gained (1 and 2 years respectively). * During your initial two weeks of employment, you will spend time shadowing other providers, completing orientation responsibilities, and learning the basic functioning of the clinic/agency. * When you begin seeing patients on your own, you will initially have an hour scheduled for each visit, allowing you extra time to get to know your patients, review charts, and complete your notes. * After your initial meeting, existing patient follow-up visits are normally scheduled at 30-minute intervals, and psychiatric evaluations are scheduled for one hour.     The Opportunity: Under the general supervision of a Clinical Supervisor the Community Rehabilitation Specialist (CRS) provides ongoing recovery focused community rehabilitation services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses primarily residing at one of the site based Permanent Supportive Housing projects (PSH). The CRS is a service broker, coordinator, monitor and planner of services, offering practical help, building community support, teaching recovery-based skills and providing active outreach, advocacy and crisis assistance based on the strengths, needs, abilities and preferences of the individuals. What You'll Do: * Monitor and coordinate delivery of necessary evaluations (e.g., psychiatric, medical, vocational), surveys and assessments in order to identify each person's needs. * Coordinate and participate in the development of an Interdisciplinary Service Plan (ISP) that shall include services and assistance necessary to achieve specific objectives, as well as an explanation of the availability, intensity and duration required of each service. Write up the "ISP" and distribute to necessary participants for approval and sign-off. * Assist individuals to identify and minimize the effects of the psychiatric symptoms, enabling individuals to self-manage their illness. * Assist individuals to develop/increase interpersonal and community coping skills individually or in groups. * Review and monitor services and activities and note progress. * In cooperation with the individual, reassess strengths, needs, abilities and expressed preferences as required by the "ISP" standards specified in Rule 5122-27-04 of the Administrative Code, and/or at the request of the individual. * Available to the individual to provide, coordinate and/or assist in crisis intervention and stabilization services during regularly scheduled working hours and available for "after hours" emergencies in accordance with established agency on-call procedures. * Assist the individual in achieving the objectives in the ISP and maximizing independence and productivity through support and training in the use of personal and community resources. * Assist the individual in increasing social support networks of relatives, friends, and/or volunteers that ameliorate life stresses resulting from the individual's disability. * Accompany individuals to appointments and activities and assist in daily living skills training as needed. * Provide rehabilitation activities in community settings as appropriate to the needs of the individuals. * Assist the PSH project in ensuring residents are compliant with occupancy rules established by the property managers and Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority. * Provide input to Clinical Supervisor on planning residential activities that will support the goals of residents living independently. * Participate in Resident Council meetings if requested by Clinical Supervisor * Maintain relevant documentation and provide statistical reports in accordance with agency documentation standards. * Attend regularly scheduled staff and supervisory meetings. * Responsible for being knowledgeable about rights of individuals and procedures governing them. * Observe all rules of confidentiality as it relates to clinical information both internally and in dealing with outside individual(s) and/or agencies. * Participate in ongoing agency and staff training development programs and become familiar with all relevant agency policies and procedures. * Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor, which may include serving on various agency committees.
