The Graduate Theological Union (GTU) is a remarkably extensive consortium. Comprising about 20 seminaries and academic centers, the GTU offers theological studies in a number of religious traditions, including various denominations of Christianity, Judaism, Islam and Buddhism. Through its many institutions, the Graduate Theological Union offers three degrees: MA, PhD and ThD. All of these degrees are academic in nature, and students can chose from a variety of specializations. If you're not yet sure which program is right for you, you can take classes under special student options until you decide. Eligibility varies based on the degree program, so be sure to check GTU's website for a complete chart.
