Individualized learning programs and distance education courses are some of the options Empire State College offers its predominantly adult student-body. Located in Saratoga Springs, New York, Empire State has learning centers throughout upstate New York and the New York metropolitan area as well as online to better serve the primary population it serves: the adult learner. Bachelor's, associate's and master's degrees are offered in the Arts, Sciences, Education, Business, Nursing and Human Services, among others. In order to best serve the adult learner and the varied interests and experiences they bring to the table, Empire State also offers a number of interdisciplinary study and independent study programs as well. A comprehensive student center supports students in all aspects of their education, from assessment to academic and career planning. Admission is based on submission of an application, proof of a high school diploma or GED, and evaluation of transcripts.
