The Duluth, Minnesota area is home to Lake Superior College, where associate's degrees are yours to earn. There are on-campus and online class options, as well as a university transfer program that allows students to go complete their education at a four-year institute. Among the programs available to study are Administrative Office Specialist, Medical Administrative Secretary, Computer and Web Programming, Auto Service Technology, Health Careers, Fire Technology and Administration, and Trade and Industry Careers. LSC has a unique Credit for Prior Learning program, which allows students to earn school credit for the experiences they had before enrolling in school. Experiences such as travel and certain jobs may count towards earning your degree. If you want to attend LSC but you aren't sure if you will be able to come up with the money to pay for tuition and other educational expenses, the financial aid office can help you out. Counselors can help you find scholarships or point you toward the free financial aid application called the FAFSA, which can earn you loans, grants, and work-study if you qualify. All this, and you get to study in Northern Minnesota, surrounded by the natural beauty of Lake Superior and near Superior National Forest. If you can weather the winters, Lake Superior College might be the perfect place for you.
