The College of Charleston (C of C) has plenty to offer in history alone. The College was established before the United States declared independence, and was in fact founded by three signers of the Declaration. Of course, C of C is more than just a rich history. The College offers outstanding academics, particularly in undergraduate education. More than 50 majors and even more minors are available, including some unique interdisciplinary programs. South Carolina State University (SCSU) is South Carolina's only public, historically African-American four year university, and that is not all that's outstanding and unique about it. Located in Orangeburg, South Carolina, SCSU offers undergraduate programs in Engineering, Education, English and Modern Languages, Health Sciences, and Visual and Performing Arts, among others.
