The company works with doctors to prescribe Finasteride and Sildenafil (active ingredient in Viagra) through the app or website. With a telemedicine approach, hims allows customers to get diagnosed and treated at a lower cost and with greater convenience. Hims was incubated at San Francisco-based venture-builder, Atomic. Hims was founded in November 2017 after CEO Andrew Dudum was called out by his sister for having dry skin and breakouts. She ordered him a bunch of expensive products to help fix the issues and Dudum quickly realized that men didn't have the same options as women when it came to purchasing wellness products.
