IN NEGOTIATING WITH ACUTE CARE HOSPITALS AND FEDERALLY QUALIFIED HEALTH CENTERS (FQHCS), NEW JERSEY REENTRY CORPORATION IS PROVIDING FOR THE NECESSARY DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, CLINICAL EVALUATION, AND ACCESS TO MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS TO DETERMINE THE MEDICAL NEEDS OF NJRC PARTICIPANTS UPON RELEASE FROM INCARCERATION.-IN ADDITION, NJRC HAS ENTERED INTO MEMORANDUMS OF UNDERSTANDING WITH FEDERALLY-SPONSORED CERTIFIED COMMUNITY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CENTERS (CCBHCS), THE RUTGERS MEDICAL SCHOOL CENTER FOR EXCELLENCE, NEW BRIDGE MEDICAL CENTER, AND TREATMENT PROVIDERS TO ENSURE THAT NJRC PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS HAVE ACCESS TO THE INDUCTION OF MEDICATION-ASSISTED TREATMENT THREE (3) TIMES A WEEK AT EACH OF EIGHT (8) SITES, REVIEWS OF DRUG HISTORY AND ADDICTION TREATMENT COMPLIANCE, AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES PROVIDED FOR BY BOTH PSYCHOLOGISTS AND PSYCHIATRISTS. PRESENTLY, NJRC HAS 7,499 PERSONS ENROLLED IN ADDICTION TREATMENT WITH AN ADDITIONAL 1,034 PERSONS SPECIFICALLY ENROLLED IN MEDICATION-ASSISTED TREATMENT. -NJRC SERVED 2,744 PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS ENROLLED IN NJRC CASE MANAGEMENT DURING FISCAL YEAR 2020, AS WELL AS 1,137 PERSONS, WHO WERE RELEASED PURSUANT TO THE PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY. THE OVERALL TOTAL NUMBER OF PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS IS 11,179 INCLUDING NON-PHE AND PHE, AS WELL AS THOSE PARTICIPANTS ENROLLED THROUGH COUNTY JAILS, ADDICTION TREATMENT, AND ALTERNATIVE DIVERSIONARY PROGRAMS. AMONG THOSE PERSONS NJRC SUCCESSFULLY PROVIDED 2,680 EMERGENCY PANDEMIC KITS, SERVED 5,000 MEALS DAILY TO REENTRY PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS FOR 100 DAYS WITH THE NATIONAL ACTION NETWORK (NAN), AND PROVIDED EMERGENCY HOUSING AT SANCTUARY SHELTERS PURSUANT TO THE AMENDMENT OF DCA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE BY LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR SHEILA OLIVER, REPLICATING THE PROVISION OF RELIGIOUS SANCTUARY SHELTERS DURING SUPERSTORM SANDY.
