Blackjack Pizza was founded by Vince Schmuhl way back in 1983. By 1986, there were six corporate-owned stores and one franchise in operation. To date, there are already 42 stores in operation in five states and have around 500 - 1000 number of employees.

At Del Taco, all menu items are prepared to order using fresh ingredients including cheddar cheese grated from 40-pound blocks, handmade pico de gallo salsa, lard-free beans slow cooked from scratch and marinated chicken grilled in the restaurant.
