Western Container Corporation is a high performance company dedicated to being the premier manufacturer of PET containers for the Coca-Cola Bottling System. The company was established in 1979 by a group of Coca-Cola Bottlers who acted on the long-term need to offer a central distribution point and a reliable source of high quality low-cost plastic bottles. The initial site opened in Big Spring, Texas and produced the first bottle in July 1980. In 1984 a second plant in Houston, Texas was added. As sales grew, further expansion continued on to Rancho Cucamonga, California and Benicia, California in 1995.
