In this role, you will: Define the multi-year CI strategy and operating model for AlphaSense. Lead a high-impact CI function (including people, processes, and tooling) that serves as the single source of truth on competitors and market dynamics. Partner closely with Product, Revenue, Enablement, and Executive leadership to inform product strategy, pricing and packaging, positioning, and the tactics we use to compete and win key deals. This is a highly visible role with direct impact on win rates, deal velocity, roadmap decisions, and strategic planning. What You'll Do: Set the Vision and Strategy Define AlphaSense's global competitive intelligence strategy, including objectives, scope, operating model, and success metrics. Develop a tiered competitor framework that covers direct, adjacent, and emerging competitors, and maintain an up-to-date view of how the landscape is evolving across our key segments and use cases. Translate CI learnings into product strategy inputs, including feature prioritization, packaging, and differentiation levers that strengthen our position in key workflows. Track pricing and packaging insights that are rooted in market and competitive reality. Enable the Field and Improve Win Rates Own a world-class battlecard program and ensure that our frontline teams have accurate, timely, and practical guidance on how to position and compete against priority competitors. Design and operationalize a robust win/loss program that combines quantitative and qualitative inputs, including customer and prospect interviews, to surface the real reasons we win and lose, and drive resulting actions across Product, Revenue, and Marketing. Partner with Revenue Enablement to build training, playbooks, and deal support for strategic opportunities, and make sure CI is embedded in account planning and live opportunities. Measure Impact and Continuously Improve Define and track KPIs for the CI function, such as battlecard adoption, CI-driven win rate uplift, coverage of key competitors, and cycle time from signal to insight. Regularly report on CI impact to Marketing, Product, and Executive leadership, and use feedback and data to refine priorities and programs. Experiment with new sources, tools, and formats, to keep our CI capabilities at the leading edge. Who You Are: 8 to 12 or more years of experience in competitive intelligence, market intelligence, product marketing, strategy, or a related function, ideally in B2B SaaS for financial services. Proven track record building or significantly scaling a competitive or market intelligence function that influenced product strategy and go-to-market execution. Deep experience synthesizing data from multiple sources, such as product benchmarks, customer insights, product teardowns, win and loss analysis, analyst research, financial filings, expert calls, and news, and turning that into clear, actionable recommendations. Strong knowledge of capital markets and financial services segments, such as hedge funds, asset managers, private equity, investment banking, and corporates, is a strong plus. Excellent storyteller and communicator who can build crisp narratives and present confidently to senior executives, sales teams, and product teams. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and influence without direct authority.
