Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Establish, review and execute test plans and with the help of the Compliance Manager. Work with a recognized Testing Laboratory to ensure that submitted products conform to all the specified standards. Position requires extension work with the testing laboratory to ensure that the products under test complete the compliance testing per the established schedule.
Conduct product safety, EMC, Telecom, NEBS, ETSI and related testing to determine compliance with applicable standards.Resolution of non-compliance issues encountered during product testing Assemble data sheet packages and similar product materials specification for review by Compliance Manager and outside Agencies (working with the responsible engineering development members) Executes the timely completion of supporting documentation as necessary. Provide project status updates and participate in project planning meetings as needed.Assignments may include testing of hardware/firmware products, analyzing test results, and ensuring written reports are prepared and accurate.Other duties as required.
Credentials & Experience:

Minimum education level is a Bachelor's degree in a technical subject area. Minimum professional experience in product safety or regulatory compliance positions of 4 to 6 years. Experience with product validation testing and agency certification. Successfully taken products through CSA, UL, FCC/IC, and NEBS testing & certification.Good skills in oral English and Good at reading and writing Local travel as needed.

Our company is currently seeking a Compliance / Electrical Engineer to implement and manage product compliance activity with a focus on electrical safety and compliance. The position is responsible for ensuring products are compliant with all internal, industry and global regulatory standards. The Compliance Engineer will be involved with the product from development through discontinuance for commercial and consumer grade products.
A wide-range of responsibilities offers new challenges every day:

Communicate coherently with test labs, suppliers/manufacturers, and internal design teams. Manage all compliance information (internal test reports, lab reports, product compliance markings/info, etc.) Ensure our products are developed in compliance with specified internal, customer and industry standards. Lead the effort of certification of products to UL, CE and FCC standards. Develop an understanding of other entities that impose requirements on the products we market. Lead activity centered on minimizing the cost and complexity that compliance imposes on our products. Determine country specific compliance requirements for ROE analysis. Direct activity at the development team level to design compliance into our products. Arrange and oversee all compliance related testing activity both in house and at the test labs. Manage the company compliance expenditures against the annual budget.


Education/Training:

Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or similar education and 3-5 years of experience. An understanding of UL, CE, FCC, Reach and RoHS compliance is a plus.
